The lodge is clean, pools are clean, and all of the staff: housekeeping, front desk, and restaurant were polite, upbeat, and helpful. We had breakfast each day, and dinner one night in the restaurant. The food is good, and the prices are reasonable. My only complaints would be a quite noisy air conditioner, and scratchy towels. Otherwise, everything was wonderful.

This was a great weekend family get away. The food in the restaurant was good, the pools are nice, and the grounds are beautiful. Wildlife is nearby and not afraid of visitors. We got to see deer very up close up on more than one occasion. I also highly recommend the horseback riding in the area. We will be back in the fall!

We stayed at Salt Fork Lodge for two nights. The room had two double beds and a set of bank beds. The building was old, but all workers were very friendly and Timbers Restaurant had good food at reasonable price.

During the stay, we went to the Wilds, Wildlife Conservation Center, and Salt Fork Lake for conoeing. It was good place for a few days escape from the city. We may be back in the future.

Wow. Just sooo relaxing. We (husband and I, in our 50's) took a mini=vacation with our 7 y/o grand daughter and we all had the time of our life. Never sitting around bored. There was always something to do. Staff so friendly and helpful. Room was imaculate with a coffeemaker and minifridge. The lodge itself is spacious and comfortable. Large common areas inside and out. The pools (indoor and outdoor) were well maintained. A small outdoor (by the pool) snack bar that also served a great margarita. I just can't think of anything I would have changed. We also spent a lot of time on the lake. We took our boat and so hubby could fish to his content, and at least once every day took us gals out for a ride on the boat. The marinas were clean and easy to get to. The lake is just breathtaking. (although hubby didn't have a whole lot of luck fishing). Will def go back soon.

Room Tip: I loved our room. Had an outside porch that faced the woods. Very peaceful and beautiful.
