My husband and I went to Saigon with a fish-eating-vegetarian friend and shared three entrees. We had a stir-fry with tofu, a noodle dish with yellow curry, and a fried snapper dish with a tomato sauce. All were delicious -- especially the fish -- and we had no trouble devouring all of them (we were traveling, so leftovers weren't going home with us anyway, right?). Eating outside on busy pedestrian 4th Street was actually very nice, and put us in close proximity to the arcades (which, being architecture geeks, we wanted to see) as well as to the Cleveland Clothing Company, which is a great place to get a quirky Cleveland souvenir (Burning River Surf Club t-shirt, anyone?). Supporting downtown restaurants and retail will help the city attract more good stuff -- and Saigon is a great place to start.
