“Fun Fun Fun”

What fun this was. I love going to car shows and this museum was right up my alley! Cars are shown on several different levels. In addition, this museum is literally connected with the Western Reserve Historical Society, so you can tour both on the same trip.

“Cleveland is blessed to have this wonderful Museum!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 March 2014

The Western Reserve Historical Society is fascinating! The eclectic collection of classic vehicles & plane's is awesome. The collection of antique clothing & outfits are unbelievable. The historical library is filled with amazing census reports and family finding information. I'm in awe of this building filled with so many memories of yesteryear! The special collections are breathtaking. It's a MUST see for any member of your family. Can I say more? A+

“crawford auto- aviation museum cleveland ohio”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 November 2013

I recently visited the wrhs/ crawford auto - aviation museum. the first floor exhibit has 25 antique cars on display. the automobiles were all built here in cleveland, ohio. some people may remember companies names like peerless, winton and white. Iespecially liked the 1916 owen magnet, 1905 peerless and the 1929 jordan. the owen magnet especially stands out from the rest. some people may think detroit, michigan was the auto mecca always. but cleveland had it's time in the sun
for those who remember euclid beach park. you may want to have a look at the mock of the euclid beach carousel. It has it's own glass enclosed room. all the rides are on temporary platforms with casters. the rides are all original and look beautifully restored. the museum is rebuilding the base for the merry go round and should be completed spring of 2014 or fall of 2014 per quest services. there are posters around the room that show the history of many of the rides at euclid beach including, racers, dodge-um, roller coasters and laughing sal. I know these brought back a lot memories for me. I hope they will do the same for you and your families.
the lower level of the museum, accessible by elevator, has now been opened with 58 antique cars from the museum collection. these autos were not built in cleveland. you might want to check out the old recreational vehicle, the racing cars and the chrysler 300D. some of you may remember driving some of these cars.
before you are ready to leave , you might stop into the gift shop. there are many books about cleveland's history and cars that make good reading.. If you have time you might want to take a tour of the Hay- Mckinney house, it has a lot of history. I hope you enjoy your trip back in time at the museum. I know i did.

“Take the kids!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 November 2013

We took our grandson to this museum. He was so fascinated by the vintage vehicles and the partially restored carousel.

We also had a tour of the Hay-McKinney mansion. It was easy to be mentally transported to another time in America. What a beautiful home.

We were very impressed by the restoration work done on the above exhibits.

It was a really fun outing and a great value.
