I just recently relocated back to the Columbus area and found myself needing a transitional home until I get settled. I had been to this location the year it opened and it is very close to where I am working and my church. Although it has been over 20 years since my last stay, the staff is still some of the friendliest and helpful I've come across during my time away. My husband is an over-the-road driver who is gone quite a bit so we stayed a few days here before we made up our mind to make the move. We were very impressed with how sound proof the rooms are. When you walk down the hall you can hear people talking or the TV playing but when you shut your door all you hear is the noise you make. That was a great bonus for me because usually in a hotel situation you HAVE to deal with the noise from the surrounding rooms. Everybody welcomed us just like family & anything we needed they made sure we had it right away. When I did move in the room that they had available didn't have the microwave mounted over the counter like the room we had previously and it had standard chairs instead of the really nice adjustable rolling chairs. The next day I asked if we could exchange our chairs for the rolling ones and if they would be able to mount the microwave so that I would have more counter space. They were totally booked up so they were not able to change chairs until someone checked out (which they did), but by the time I got home from work ... the microwave had been mounted that very same day. They had to add an outlet, but that was fine with me (you can never have too many outlets in the kitchen). This location IS over 20 years old and is not brand spanking new but the staff keeps everything very clean and well maintained. As far as previous reviews regarding the smell of smoke ... I smoke so I really didn't notice it as much as a non-smoker possibly would. I've seen and spoken to many of the other hotel guest and I have not noticed anyone who appeared to be "working women" as referred to in an earlier review. I did find most of them are working people who are in the same situation as I am, either in town on temporary work or just relocating & trying to get resettled as I am. When I pull into the driveway after a hard days work I feel like I'm home.
