“Think of Hampton first...”

Instead of driving 2 hours home, getting up at 6:00 am & driving 2 hours back to Columbus for meetings, I opted to stay, get some rest and a little work done. The Hampton Inn and Suites in Downtown Columbus is located in a wonderful part of Columbus. Sitting next to the North Market, Bar Louie and many restaurants. The hotel is clean, staff is friendly, very helpful, and breakfast had a lot to choose from. If you're staying for multiple meeting in downtown Columbus, Ohio this is the place to stay..

Room Tip: Ask for what you want. I asked if my room would be close to the ice machine..across from my room was...

This hotel is not the most posh, but its supremely convenient location across from the convention center, next to the North Market and Short North district make this a big win. Very reasonable rates and (a huge bonus for us stuck here for more than a week for a convention) - free wifi, free tea and coffee 24-7, and free breakfast with a decent selection of options. The pool and hot tub are small but pretty nice and the gym looked decent. Employees were very friendly and helpful. They have a deal with A1 taxi for a flat $18 to or from the airport, which saves you about $5 on a regular cab. I would most definitely try to stay here again next time in Columbus, assuming the convention center was part of the program. I found the decor pretty meh, especially the bathrooms (plasticky) but it gets the job done.

I stayed here for the Origins Gaming Convention. The hotel is clean and the environment is nice. Everyone was really friendly. The room was always clean when we got back at night. The pillows were in varying amounts of fluff, but a little small. I wasn't a fan. The bathroom floor is some kind of rubber, not tile so you're less likely to kill yourself getting out of the shower.

The breakfast buffet is complimentary (read: included in the price) and has more than just continental breakfast. The juice machine was a little watery, at least for the OJ. The soda machines take credit cards and aren't highway robbery (only $1 for 12oz coke. It's probably the same price if you're a heathen who likes something else, I didn't check.)

The hotel is located just across the street from the convention center. For me it was directly across from where I spent most of my time. It isn't attached by a walkway, but the weather can never be bad enough for it to matter. It's also less than a block from the North Market where the food is better, cheaper, and closer than the convention center food court.

If you're driving, the parking there is valet only $21 or $23 a day (I can't remember) which is pricey, but it's meant for business people who can expense such things.

Friendly staff, great location, very clean rooms and gorgeous decor! We are not easily impressed, but we were with this hotel! The bathroom had granite and a beautiful shower. Internet access was always good. There was a large selection of breakfast items and most were very good.

Nice hotel, convenient to downtown venues, on the free downtown bus loop and close to North Market and some wonderful restaurants. Had beautiful view from our room; service was friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend for a stay close to downtown events. A bit on the expensive side for the area though.

This is a great hotel directly across the street from the main entrance to the Columbus Convention Center. Check in and check out were a breeze and the rooms were perfect. I was lucky enough to be upgraded to a suite. Everything was clean and well managed. If you are looking for some local far hit up the North Market for breakfast, lunch or dinner!

Make sure you meet Clifford, the doorman, cause "God Loves You!" A true character and excellent greeter!

If you are coming to Columbus for any activity at the Convention Center I highly recommend the Hampton Inn.

We spent a weekend in Columbus and decided to stay at this hotel. The location (being on South High Street) is perfect for walking to all the great places to visit on High Street.

The staff was stellar and the rooms were clean and very functional. This will be my "go to" stay in Columbus, Ohio from now on.

The free breakfast was good and got us started right for the day.

Room Tip: If you want to look over High Street, ask for a room in the x18 column.
