The Blackwell hotel is located on the OSU campus and run by the Fisher College (economics studies). It can easily compete with any other four to five star hotel in the US. The rooms are spacious and nicely furnished. It was always very quite in my room and had a decent sleep in the very comfortable bed. Service stuff is extremely friendly and always helpful. I especially enjoyed the limousine transfer from and to the airport.

We decided to stay at this hotel due to proximity to the OSU campus and we couldn't be happier with the service provided. We ended up with 5 guests instead of 4 and The Blackwell didn't blink an eye to accommodate us. Everyone is extremely friendly and helpful. Wish they had a few more larger rooms but that's a minor issue.

Stayed for two nights to visit our son at OSU. Location is perfect, right on the campus so you can walk to almost every activity that occurs on the campus (including football games). Also easy drive to short north and all sorts of good restaurants. This is not a fancy hotel, but staff is friendly and rooms are large. WiFi is free. Price is great. For anything OSU related, this is the place to stay.

I was attending a conference at OSU and stayed in a king room April 11-12. This hotel was the one recommended for conference attendees, and I couldn't have been more pleased. The room was VERY large with a king bed, armchair, table, and two desks with large comfortable desk chairs. Everything was clean, amenities were plentiful, and loved the assorted coffees, teas & Keurig in my room. Front desk staff and valet were all friendly and professional.

The Blackwell lobby was nice enough, although I wouldn't call it luxurious. But the room, on the contrary, was very very nice and high end. Terrific bed -- extremely comfortable, and perfect TV. The desk areas (my room had two) were enormous. The coffee maker in the room had the makings for 3 cups of coffee, many cups of tea and even hot cocoa - much appreciated. The room also had lots of storage -- so probably set up for business folks that had to do business in town for an extended period. Besides -- free Wifi -- which is always appreciated, they had my favorite cable network -- HGTV -- which is more unusual that you would believe.

Stayed here for 3 nights for business on the OSU campus. Hotel is right in middle of campus and has easy view of the "horse shoe" which is the stadium that OSU footlball team calls home.

Check in was fine. Lobby is functional but nothing spectacular. They have a small bar and sitting area located off to the side in a small corner. Looks more like an afterthought.

Room was good size. Very comfy chair. Desk was functional with ample electric access. Internet was free for me and worked fine. Was told that the password that the hotel have me would work on whole campus-can't say that I tried it outside of campus but I thought that was a cool concept.

Bed was very comfortable. They provided turn down service at night which was a nice touch. Bathroom was ok, good size but a little dated. The whole room was dated but was kept up ok. Good room size.

Restaurant was a bit off the beaten path, had to walk to what seemed like an addition to the hotel. They had a nice brunch on weekend.

This stay was better than ok but hotel could use some updating and better planning. but overall I would stay again.
