Being season ticket holders to Broadway in Columbus, we're always looking for a nice pre-theater dinner. We weren't disappointed tonight. Bottles of wine were reasonably priced, and the Pinot Noir we ordered was quite tasty. The spinach salad was tossed with sliced pear and candied nuts dressed in a light dressing. The salmon was delicious, and the grilled asperagus was a nice side. My partner's duck was cooked perfectly, and the potato dumplings with the red cabbage went perfectly with the duck. We were too full for dessert, but the tarte tatin and the baked hot chocolate sounded wonderful! We were in and out in plenty of time to make the show, yet we weren't rushed at all. We'll stop back again. Thanks for an enjoyable dinner!

Decided to brave the arctic blast and treat ourselves. Nice ambiance. Waiter very cordial. Was ready to order rib eye for my wife and schnitzel for me when told of special of beef tongue in a ragout. Wow. Her steak was excellent and done to her liking and the ragout was a wonderful blend of flavors. The tongue was melt in your mouth. Delicious hot rolls. Followed up with a chocolate, orange/raspberry mousse that slammed you with chocolate flavor then the orange slipped in the back door. Definitely going back and looking forward to German Wednesdays!

Stopped in on Wednesday - when chef adds a few German specialties to the menu. A couple of Bavarian down-home entrees were excellent. He creates something different each week, so there's a nice opportunity for surprise. Dessert were extravagantly delicious.

Service was friendly and at a nice pace. We felt welcome and unrushed. More like an old-school German gasthaus.

The decor is perhaps a bit vintage, yet reminds me of the many local restaurants in NYC that are comfortable and unpretentious.

if you want to go french for the evening... better than your average french restaurant. Not snooty but just clever enough to make you feel special. Any coulis here is superb. Order anything, the staff has already done all the thinking for you.
