I booked this hotel for rotr 2018 and it served it's purpose however barely. The hotel was very hot inside I'm guessing in the high 70s or low 80s. The ice machines only worked half the time and the 2nd floor didn't even have one. The vending machine was horrible no selection and outdated. And only one for all 3 floors. Had to buy drinks at the front desk not vending machine for drinks. Now that I made it to my room the carpet was nasty! The was no clock no phone no iron and no fridge! Could hear couple arguing and fighting 4 rooms down from mine. Heard other tenants complaining about clogged drains, bed bugs and herion needles. However I had no problems with neither 3 issues and the staff was nice enough that's y it got 2 stars lol. Over all I would avoid this place maybe try the days Inn on the other side of 71. Good luck

This was the most filthy and disgusting place! We checked in and they had our reservation messed up. They finally gave us a key to our room. When we got to our room tjw sheets were nasty and.hadn't been changed so we requested them.to be changed which they did then we went to shower and the​ knob to turn shower on fell completely off. My husband went down and asked for a different room they moved us to a room where the walls had stuff running down them like someone had thrown soda or coffee in them the carpet had been vacuumed has trash all over floor. A/c wouldn't work properly. The ice machine had mold everywhere. The staff was rude and unfriendly. We asked to talk to manager which didn't get in contact with us until 2 days after we returned home and told us the owners would be in contact with us and we are still waiting to hear from them! It was not what they advertised it to be and it was not a good family getaway for us like we planned.

Booked a quick visit to Ohio to see friends for a long weekend and from the description on the Expedia site this seemed like a decent place for the $46 nightly rate. If I could do it again, I would never stay here.

Check in was ok and then everything went downhill. I forgot shampoo at home and thought there would be a small bottle in the bathroom. No such luck and none to be found from the front desk.

The "recliner" if you can call it that was out of a thrift store and clearly had seen better days. The mattress was soft, the sheets threadbare and one lightweight fleece blanket was all you got for bed coverings. And two tiny pillows for a queen size bed.

No housekeeping or if there was, the bed was left unmade and just some new too tiny bath towels were replaced.

The non-smoking room had some smell still in the bed and chair.

We have been going here for almost 4 years, and this past visit was the worst, the bathroom was nasty with feces on the toilet. Also there was ashes and half a blunt on the floor by the bed...we were not pleased at all and they refused a refund, called corporate and it's a franchise so had to call the owner, he never returned our call so had to get my bank involved to refund our money...this place use to be clean and respected but it is going down hill fast.

Gave this place a chance despite bad reviews. Should have listened to reviews. There are signs in the lobby that ALL guests must show ID (could be after the room has been paid for). Lobby door has sign stating lobby will be locked at dusk - room key required to enter. See other review of what can happen if you forget your key. This motel is one of motel 6's acquisition and was a different motel before becoming a motel 6 so it's not a typical motel building. The building is located behind other buildings so is hidden and not visible from the road till in front of it (no sign in the sky either). I informed clerk I had a dog at check-in. After completing check in, we were bringing in luggage and our well behaved dog (Labrador retriever). Clerk calls us over and tells us we have to show the dog's photo ID or there will be an additional charge. Clerk said all states have dog photo IDs??? Motel 6 websites states "At Motel 6, service animals and well-behaved pets always stay free*. They are permitted unless they pose a health or safety risk or are prohibited by law. Pet limit of 2 pets per room. Some state and local municipalities forbid any pets other than service animals." Don't know if Ohio is one of those states that only allows service animals but you'd think a state that forbids any pets other than service animals would be stated on a motel 6 location and website. We stayed only cause it was almost dark and we were exhausted. We were on pins and needles staying there and didn't even take the dog for a final night walk for fear there would some other strange rule/objection, lock down, mugging, or who knows what. The only reason I gave more than 1 star is that the beds were okay and room was clean enough. We've stayed in many motel 6's in our cross country trips and this was the only one we've felt so unwelcome and nervous that we couldn't wait to leave first thing in the morning and practically ran - couldn't leave fast enough.
