LOTS of very "shady" looking people hanging around. Very scary. All the room doors have steel strips on the door frame and door. They must have trouble with people trying to pry into rooms. Room seemed clean, but I questioned if our sheets had been changed. They sure were not crisp and clean. IF they were clean, they were very old, AC worked fine, but was extremely loud. Woke us up every time it turned on during the night. I couldn't figure out why these people just hung around inside in the lobby and around the entrance. Both when we checked in and when we checked out. If I had been alone, there is NO WAY I would have stayed there! No free breakfast of any kind! Go somewhere else. Its worth it!

The room was booked by a third party so I did not interact with the staff. Parking spaces are very tight and not really lined out to accomodate larger vehicles (we were in a dually). The front of the truck stuck out about a foot or so over the line. The room was just OK, It could use a makeover.
The bed slept fine, the shower had low pressure, the bathroom is very small and old and the door would not close. There was a lot of loud banging and slamming of doors all night. I did not do breakfast but was told by other crew that they charged $5.99 extra for that service.

We had so many things happen to us at this hotel that I won't even talk about the shoddy remodeling that is currently underway which basically just amounts to covering up the old crap with newer crap; forget about tearing anything out or cleaning the stuff that is left behind.

Check in was a breeze but almost immediately we had problems flushing the toilet (a new water saving toilet). We attempted to call down to the front desk but the phone in the room did not work so we used our cell. The front desk clerk on this Saturday night said maintenance would be right up.

An hour later, we had the toilet figured out...hold the button for as long as it takes to flush everything down....but by then we realized that the air conditioner wasn't working. Another cell phone call to the front desk, another promise that maintenance would be right up...and oh yeah it was perfectly all right for us to leave our room as he had a special key to get in.

Dinner at the hotel restaurant, we were the only ones in there. It was Thai food....Sesame chicken covered in corn syrup...or at least that was what it tasted like; but it was cheap and others said their LoMein was good....

Back to the room....air wasn't working....so to bed we went with windows open and the fan left on....who are they kidding....there was no maintenance person on staff that Saturday night. Don't you just love being lied too.

Sunday morning.....no free breakfast here....you got to pay for the cheesy meal and at $5.99 it wasn't cheap. Even coffee was $1....Motel 6 gives it for free.

Checkout time was noon. We were hanging out with friends and though everything was packed up and out in the car we had a Do not disturb sign on our door. When we went back to the hotel at 11:30 for one quick bathroom trip before we left...guess what....the key didn't work...the DND sign was gone and we couldn't get back in our room.

Nice end to a miserable stay.

On the plus side, each bed had three pillows....good way to disguise how hard the beds actually were.

Chose this hotel from the road (Portland, ME to Kansas City, MO) because of its proximity to I-71 and reasonable rates. Upon arrival, I was not impressed with the grounds. The exterior looked rundown and questionable people were hanging out front. Not in a great part of town. The corridors were also dingy, with peeling wallpaper. Check-in was fine and there is a tasty Thai restaurant on premises. Beds, linens, and bathroom were clean, albeit outdated. I've stayed in a whole heck of a lot worse, but I probably wouldn't go out of my way to revisit this place.

Great location, right off I-71, easy highway access to I-270 as well, made it easy to get around the city. Close to gas station, restaurants and grocery store too. There was even a movie theater nearby.

The room itself was ok, but the hallway smelled of smoke. There were people hanging out by the doors, which made me uneasy. Breakfast was good though! You have to pay a higher rate if you want it though,

Room Tip: Call the front desk. They gave me a better deal when I called.

This hotel is in very poor condition. The hotel lobby/entrance was difficult to locate due to the poor layout of drive way and parking lot configuration. The surrounding neighborhood appears to be in decline. I noticed people of apparently questionable motives loitering and walking in the parking lot. The hotel itself is in need of much repair/ updating. The room was very outdated and in very much in need of a make over.
