“I was hesitant, but I shouldn't have been”
Reviewed 11 July 2014

We pulled into the parking lot and it just looked a little odd. No portico, no place to unload the car out of the rain.... but it had a lovely porch and the pool area behind was nice and the property backed onto the river so noise was not going to be an issue - so we stopped.

The entire hotel was clean and the staff friendly. There was even a little bar in the lobby for unwinding from a long day of travel (or work). The non-smoking King room with whirlpool was more than we could have ever hoped for from a chain we had never heard of before! It included a little kitchenette with a two burner stove and a good sized fridge along with a bar sink, a microwave and coffee maker.

There were plenty of both regular outlets for technology charging, but also USB ports on the generous desk. The wing back chair was a wonderful addition to the standard hotel room decor, and the whirlpool was exactly what was needed after a day in the car.

Clearly people who travel on business would frequent a place like this, but it would also be great for families or couples who just want to come and hand out for a weekend away in Coshocton.

This is definitely on the "return here" list!

Room Tip: We had a 3rd floor room on the front and there was no noise at all. Rooms on the back have a view of...

On a motorcycle trip. We had a room overlooking the river that was just fine. Nice relaxing clean pool. We were just across the bridge from Roscoe Village. We walked there to explore and have dinner with no problem. We enjoyed the pleasant front porch area with comfortable chairs. Also the gazebo by the river was an extra treat. It was the 4th of July weekend and it was decorated with flags and flowers.
The breakfast was hot and plentiful. Only problem was the outdoor locks that would not open with our key card. They were working on it.

We stayed at The Inn for two days for my high school reunion. Our suite was clean and had everything we needed. The breakfast offered a wide variety of choices and a pleasant eating area. Having a room on the river side of the hotel was nice. We had a banquet in their party room. Their caterer put on an excellent meal.

Room Tip: I think that both choosing a room on the river-side and booking a suite are your best options.

Based on prior reviews, we had high expectations for this property, but we were overall disappointed.

First, the positives: The room (a suite) was plenty large, with two flat-screen televisions and kitchen appliances. It was also clean. Bed was comfortable. The free breakfast included hot food (eggs, oatmeal and French toast) and was well-stocked.

Now, the negatives. The front desk person on staff Friday night was abrupt, almost to the point of being rude. We didn't arrive until around 9:00, so we called ahead to make sure the reservation would be held. The front desk person spoke as if she resented being bothered. The same woman was less than friendly when we checked in later that evening. Since we had no cell phone service, we had to use the hotel's phone service, but it didn't work from the room. When I went down to the desk to complain about the phone, the woman did not apologize and again seemed bothered.

In all fairness, the woman who checked us out on Saturday morning was very pleasant.

The other major negative was the musty, mildew smell that permeated our room and the odor of cigarettes in the hallway.

We will consider other alternatives on our next trip.

Please accept my apology in reference to you experience with the front desk staff and I ensure that this matter will be taken care of.

As for your stay, I'm glad to hear that your room was comfortable and the breakfast was to your liking. We will look into the mildew smell and I do apologize for the smell of smoke in the hallway. We do offer smoking rooms at the hotel and that is most likely what you noticed. Upon your next visit you can request to be located away from the smoking section.

Again, please accept my apology for your past stay and due hope that you return upon your next visit to Coshocton.

Stayed one night while in town for my daughter's tournament. The staff was very helpful and friendly on the phone and during our stay. Our room and beds were comfortable. The pool area was clean as were the other public spaces. The free breakfast was great in the morning. We used the fitness room which was small but sized perfect for this size hotel. The hotel was close to everything. Our only misstep was paying too much for very weak drinks at the small hotel bar area. We would stay again if we end up in Coshocton again. And we may, as they seem to host some cool festivals in the summer and the nearby Roscoe Historical Village would be fun to see again in the summer time.

Room Tip: We stayed in a standard double but saw the suites and would choose one of those the next time for th...

Best hotel in the area. Very friendly people. I'm there every week for business. The morning breakfast is well prepared

The Tuesday evening manager reception dinners are also very good.
Adding a bar to the reception area was a great idea.

Room Tip: all are good
