“An improvement from Thomas' s but still needs work.”
Reviewed 18 April 2013 via mobile

Went here for the first time since it changed owners and was immediately impressed. The new layout is much brighter, and you can actually tell its open from the outside!

The food is also much better. I had the signature Steak Salad and it was delicious, and very reasonable priced.

There is still room for improvement. We were there on a very slow evening. There were about 2 other tables and 2 waiters. We were seated quickly but had to wait a long time to have our orders taken - I eventually asked the other waiter if he would take our order. Once we ordered our food came out promptly, but we had to wait a long time to get the check. Our waiter was busy doing something and not taking care of his tables.

Other areas that need improvement would be the menus - which were just a piece of paper, and looked ragged, and the furniture. We were in a booth that kept mooving. The table was wobbly and so were the seats.

Overall the new owners have made great improvements in the short time they have owned this place, and once they fix the slow service it will again be a great place to go to.

“Good choice for lunch, recently reopened with brighter area”
Reviewed 9 April 2013

Found the new menu offered a nice selection for lunch. I was pleased that they still offer Thomas's steak salad for lunch. Can easily get lunch options for under $10.

“Bad food and high prices”
Reviewed 27 December 2012

Thomas's used to be the place to go for great steak. But its stuck in the past. The steak now tastes tough and is a great dissapointment. The place has an odd atmosphere. As you walk through the door you arent even sure if its open. The waiters and waitresses are nicely dressed (almost over dressed) but then the manager comes out looking very scruffy.

The restaurant has recently been sold to the Wearhouse Steak and Stein, so hopefully they will be able to return it to a better place.

“Great food!”
Reviewed 11 June 2012 via mobile

The food is great and so is the service. Only complaint is that; the 1960's-70's decor' really needs to go! It's time for an update!
