We ordered 2 burgers, o-rings and drinks. Bun was soggy and burger was too big for one person to eat in one sitting. Our waitress was slow to check on us, and once food was delivered, we didn't see her again until she cleaned off the table and brought us our check. The hype of this place certainly didn't match the food, and definitely wasn't worth the price ($50-not including the tip).

good food. LARGE portions. Friendly service.
We went on a week night and didnt have a wait- much to our surprise, after hearing of two hour waits.
My husband liked his burger, and I had the pizza, which was a VERY thin crust.. sweet sauce, ample toppings.
The owner came over and said hello- that was a nice touch.
I hate to see someone pay $12 for a hamburger-- but the portion was substantial. Next time we go, we're going to have an appetizer and SPLIT an entree.
I'm still trying to decide if its as great as its cracked up to be-- but the food and service were good.

This is a no frills, family owned restaurant. They are very good at what they do, one of the best and biggest cheeseburgers I have ever had.

First, decide what you want to spend before you go in. If you are looking for a $8 lunch, this isn't your place. Burger, fries and a drink are going to run you $15+ with tip. Sandwich, chips and a drink are going to run you $12+ tip.

The food is top notch. You get what you pay for. Their BLT seriously has probably 10 slices of bacon. Their burgers are top notch quality as you would expect from Thurman's downtown. Their chips could be better. Their fries are pretty good but not mind blowing. You are going to spend, and get slightly more than, what you would get at a Max and Ermas or Friday's, only with local flavor.

Wendy's charges you $7 for a 1/4 cheeseburger, fries and a drink. It really isn't out of line for this place to charge double for what is a much better version of the Wendy's combo.

If you are on a schedule or in a hurry, go to Wendy's. this is a sit-down, full service restaurant. Expect to spend an hour there for lunch.

Fries are soggy and tasteless. The burgers are huge and I didn't think they had much flavor. Very expensive. Personally I would rather have a normal size burger and pay half the price. Others love it, so if you like a massive $12 burger you should probably give it a try.
