“Attentive Allison! - Marvelous Marin!”
Reviewed 25 October 2013

If you like to be pampered, and if you love gourmet meals, The Pines is an absolute must stay "bed & breakfast!" For us, residents of Dublin, OH, less than a one and a half hour drive to Dresden, this was a destination visit to the B&B, i. e., we didn't take the trip to site see or shop (albeit we did both, which was a bonus). After reading the The Pines' reviews, we simply chose to do something nice for ourselves by booking a reservation directly with Allison, and inquiring about the three course candlelight dinner that she and Marin offered to guests. Through an exchange of emails, we made our three course selections from a five- star menu. Having been invited to bring our own bottle of wine, the "piece' de resistance" was Marin's gourmet preparation and presentation of the dinner, and Allison's attentive service, in the ambience of their candlelit parlor, in front of the fireplace, with romantic music playing ever so softly in the background (and oh yes, almost forgot to mention the occasional visits by Sissy, their sweet bulldog, who added to the charm by checking to make sure that we didn't "inadvertently" drop any food on the floor)! Needless to say, the relaxed and conversational gourmet breakfast, the next morning, was superb!!! Our very strong recommendation to all loving couples who are within a two hour drive away from Dresden, is that you treat yourselves to The Pines experience. We definitely plan to return during one of the warmer weather months to enjoy our meals " alfresco" in the gazebo!

This is the best B&B I have ever found. Allie and Marin make you feel like family guests. The food is fantastic - Marin makes fabulous dinners, as well as breakfasts. Sissy the dog is a special highlight. I have stayed here several times and cannot recommend it highly enough!

Room Tip: If you are not as mobil as you were a few decades ago ask for the Bluebird room.

This was an awesome place to stay - to relax and rest. The owners were great and very pleasant to be around. Would return in a heart beat. We were able to stay here and then drive to other various sites of interest that we wanted to see while in that part of Ohio.

Originally booked with The Pines of Dresden on a Groupon while planning a "swing" through Ohio. So glad as I am not sure that I would have found this on my own!!! Allison & Marin are fabulous hosts and the food is absolutely to die for!!! We stayed in the Bluebird Room which was extremely comfortable. One of the nights there was the most gorgeous moon right outside of my window. It is very close to charming shops and a great little cafe that served the most wonderful lobster bisque. We visited Roscoe Village, the Longaberger Homestead and Zanesville. We will MOST DEFINITELY plan another visit and know that we can be pampered! Thanks again for such a wonderful stay!

Room Tip: The Bluebird Room is on the first floor which was nice for us!

Wonderful experience. Allison made us feel right at home. Food was great, especially dinner on the porch. Marin is a fantastic chef and what a nice breakfast. We highly recommend this facility. The dog and cats added to the ambiance. It always helps to have some animals in the house when you are missing your own. We've stayed at a lot of B and Bs and this one gets a A+.

We have stayed here several times in the past, and now we have officially stayed in each room they have. And each room is just as charming and peaceful as the next. If you are looking for a relaxing place to stay, with the most delicious food, this is it. Oh, and who can not mention how close to all those baskets it is!
We made last minute reservations and were well accomadated. We were also traveling with our dog, Lola, and she is always welcomed here too. No extra charge for her. :).
Allison and Marin are great hosts and do everything they can to make you feel right at home. Another great stay.

Room Tip: No fitness center or pool, but who needs those. Plenty of places to walk to.
