this is a avg and ok type of hotel in guwahati. located in lanes of paan bazaar ..its v difficult to find it on your own v close to rly station. also within 5 km of main shopping hub of GS Road.
the rooms are v small and moving inside room is ltd to 2-3 footsteps only. no place to keep your luggage too. cleanliness is ok. corridoors are narrow and stinky. bathrooms are ok .
room doesnt have a tea bar or fridge.
wifi is complimentary but connectivity is poor.
complimentary breakfast is pathetically cold. insects were crawling on the breakfast.
service is ok.
limited space for parking in the basement.

Its as average property, rooms are clean but compact.
food is good but very expensive.

They don't provide complementary water if u stay for more than 1 day, ones at check in.

Breakfast complementary u can miss if u are just 5 min late, although u intimated in reception.
As there is bad communication between reception and restaurant.

Restaurant staff says u should intimate us that u will be late , not in reception.

Its an average property.........
Service is not up to Marc......

Stayed at this hotel last December with my family. There isn't much of a change since then. But I found the wi-fi connectivity better than what we experienced during my last stay. The hotel badly needs to upgrade its breakfast fare. The choices are limited and quite mundane. The hotel scores much higher in terms of cleanliness compared to other hotels in the vicinity.

However, the maintenance sections needs to pedal on its gas. The bath enclosure in the room I stayed was fixed with steel strings which betrays the concept of a dry bathroom. (They may also consider removing the printouts pasted on the wall pertaining to the use of the bath and toilet fittings!!)

Despite all these, I would consider visiting this hotel again owing to three major reasons: (i) Affordability (ii) Cleanliness and security (iii) Its prime location.

Checked into Lilavati Grand hotel late afternoon.already had an advance booking confirmation.
Hence check in was almost hassle free. Although there are some hidden taxes component to the tune of 17.5% ( even more!).I was charged INR 750 + taxes extra for my 12 year old son who was
Staying with us.
The top (4th floor ) rooms are apparently the cosiest. very little Noise!
The interiors were clean and well kept. The bathroom was also clean and well maintained.
A special word about the mattresses ...... the sleeping comfort here was extraordinary !
I am a very frequent and lavish traveller , and the bed here was one of the cosiest!
In fact , although I was scheduled to proceed to Tawang, I extended my stay here by another day
Just to enjoy the luxurious comforts.
Breakfast is complimentary and is one drab affair with very limited menu. This is one area needing improvement.
But the in house Dining experience was quite good and I recommend trying the fare during your stay.
Finally one very intriguing experience here , Complimentary water bottles are served one per each guest ONLY ON DAY ONE ! You are charged for water on the subsequent days !
Very few hotels in the world can boast of such miserly attitude.
This gesture takes away some love for a host of such high quality.

Room Tip: 4th floor rooms. The Top floor is for Breakfast !

Excellent experience. Very friendly, well trained staff. Delicious food (although very overpriced). One of the cleanest hotel rooms I've ever encountered in India. Great AC and hot water. Comfortable bed. Nice shower stall. And very inexpensive price. I was travelling on business as a single female, foreigner, and felt very safe and comfortable here. The only negative is that the room I stayed (Deluxe Luxury) is VERY small. However, recommended!

Room Tip: 307 is very, very small. I wouldn't recommend it for more than one person.

The location is very good. It is just beside the Panbazar Don Bosco School, Guwahati. The railway station is very near, by cycle Rickshaw it will take about 5-10 minutes. You can visit Fancy bazaar, the main shopping area of Guwahati and also Pan Bazaar for good & authentic Assam Silk shops. The airport is at a distance of 22 kms. The interior is good, clean & quiet. But what lacks is the professional attitude of the hotel staffs. The Luxury grand rooms are very small in size, so are the bathrooms. There is no tea/coffee maker in your rooms. So, even a cup of tea is Rs.30/-, & coffee Rs.35/-. I stayed at Room no. 508 last week for two nights. It is better to book your room through the hotel's website, where you get a good discount. Complimentary breakfast at the rooftop Florican, is limited spread. For lunch & Dinner, just venture out of the hotel and there are lots of good eateries. One among them is Hotel Mahamaya, good place with nice Bengali type good home made food. To get drinking water in the hotel is very tough, as they will insist you for chargeable Packaged Mineral water.

Room Tip: Front / road facing rooms have a good view but are noisy at day time.

The hotel was great. The rooms are clean and spacious. The staff is well behaved. The rooms have american style dry bathrooms with bathing enclosure. The food is expensive but it tastes good.A breakfast at this buffet named Florican is enough to keep you going for the next few hours. The hotel is away from the airport which can be a problem for some guest but overall the hotel is great.
