We visited early morning and it was quiet, serene and peaceful. This is a Catholic church and it is a must visit. There is a climb to the top of the church and the stations of the cross line the path up to the top. There is a huge statue of St. Francis right at the entrance. The Church itself is not maintained very well, probably due to lack of funds. One would wish that maintenance was done as these holy places are heritage structures and should be preserved for posterity. However the atmosphere was holy and sacred and we were immensely grateful for visiting.
