"if there is a heaven on earth, then it is here, it is here, it is here!!"

Neeralaya is superfantabulous. It it unbelievable that a place so nice and people so lovely exist!!. we stayed there for 7 nights and had an unforgettable experience. We holiday quite a bit - but this was one place where we did not want to leave.

The cottages are all so charming, the sound of the river so relaxing, the food was so tasty, the staff was so friendly the weather so perfect.....we are surely going back again and with friends!!!

Munir is an outstanding host, giving personalized attention to each guest, never rushed and always helpful. His knowledge of the local area is amazing - he organized a 'visit to the snow' for us which included a super guide, a 3.5 km trek (one way) and snow in the wilderness - where there was no other tourist - what an experience !!

My wife was so impressed that she wrote a short verse about the place,,which sort of sums up our experience of the place.

A page out of time
A poem of sheer purity
Sanctity shines forth from every atom...
Happy trees beckon you
Chirping birds make this paradise home
Time reflects the strong and consistent Beas of yore
A poetry so simple and pure

Sanctity, please stay here forever.....forever

Thank you Neeralaya,

Room Tip: Each cottage is unique and lovely...so no worries here...

Dear Sir and Ma'am,
I am extremely sorry for such a delayed acknowledgement of your most wonderful review of your stay with us. It is undoubtedly one of the best reviews we have had. Also what makes it more special is the fact that ma'am has expressed her experience with us in such beautiful prose. We can't thank you both enough for all the kudos and promise to maintain the beauty and sanctity of our little god kissed oasis. We will be delighted to welcome you back at Neeralaya whenever you feel the urge to unwind again and assure you of further delights.
My team joins me in wishing you both and your lovely son wonderful travels.

We have been hearing about Neeralaya for some time, with friends visiting and it came highly recommended. Have to say the recommendations did not do it justice. Everything --- location, setting, ambience, home feel, food, service etc. was fantastic. We spent 5 nights here - four adults and four kids where we stayed in the newest of the cottages with two large rooms. The owner Mickey and his wife have really made an effort in making this into a boutique resort which others will find difficult to match.

LOCATION -- About 40-45 minutes before Manali proper, right on the Beas river where you really feel you are away from it all. The only sounds one hears is the river flowing by and the birds chirping.

SETTING -- River on one side, large garden in the middle, and four cottages on the other sides. The garden is full of flowers, fruit trees, and Mickey will be more than happy to show you his prize walnut tree set in the middle of the garden and the various plants around. The property also has a small stream running through it where they have organised little rafts for the smaller kids who cannot go rafting on the Beas to enjoy themselves. Our days started spectacularly with breakfast in the gazebo bang on the river.

COTTAGES & ROOMS -- Four independent cottages with each having 2-3 rooms, each different, and unique. Mickey has built these using old wood and stone from demolished houses in the area and using the local techniques for construction. The rooms are large, very well furnished. The room we stayed in had a loft which the kids made into their own den.

ACTIVITIES -- At the property there's a lot to do from just lazing to other stuff. For kids, there's the rafting on the small stream, badminton, table tennis, a tree house.....if you want to just laze around, there's hammocks strung up all over the property where you can just sit back with a book or nap without a care in the world. They will arrange a bonfire right on the banks of the river - we had the most amazing bonfire with the full moon rising over the hills across the river. The hosts will organise a whole bunch of external activities if you want from treks, drives, rafting, shawl shopping, etc etc.

FOOD -- Fantastic food. Very homely food. The cook Rajan would ask us what we wanted daily .... everything was good .... barbeque, trout, the works! They even organised a packed picnic for us which was rajma chawal as per our kids insistence!

SERVICE -- Stand out service. From the owner Mickey and his wife's personal touch, the smiling always helpful Kala, Nitin, Shodhna, Rajan....... They WILL go out of their way to make your stay memorable.

Why would someone want to stay in Manali with its traffic jams, honking just like any other Indian city when you can enjoy being in the lap of nature in Neeralaya just 45 minutes drive to Manali.

Have to thank my sister for discovering a gem like Neeralaya. Its pretty, lush and Narnia like. The cottages are rustic and comfortable with all the modern ameneties. The setting is beautiful as you have Beas at your doorstep and mountains everywhere you see. Fruits and flowers are blooming everywhere and the people are warm and friendly. They really go out of their way to take care of you. The food is divine and the bonfire is well you have to experience it. Neeralaya is a place you will cherish and want to revisit.

Neeralaya is beautiful! We spent nine memorable days there. The more you see of it, the more deft touches you discover... Muneer has put his soul in designing the place. He's used local materials beautifully, blended the modern amenities with the landscape, and has created a wonderful place like none else. Each of the cottages are masterpieces... ...no cookie-cutter place this, it constantly surprises and delights you and the family with its hammocks, picnic tables, flowers, swings, tree house, pony-ride, trampoline, riverside private hangout, table-tennis, badminton, the shack - with books including kids books, music, ...and all the really out of the way activities like painting the Pine-cones - that Shobhna organized for our younger one... & the food - OUTSTANDING!

For us, Neeralaya also organized river-rafting, visit to Nagger, Bhekhli Mata Mandir, Rohtang (till Gulaba - road wasn't open beyond that) & Solang Valley... the picnic lunch was such a delight!

The best thing of-course was how they looked after us... we miss the caring that Kala, Nitin, Bidu & the Chef - Rajan & Sachin - who took us around - made us feel with all their thoughtful gestures and service.

On our last day there, we saw the tiny tots from the local school hosted there... a place that loves, cherishes and cares for the local community!...

Truly 'Life as it should be'!

Room Tip: All the cottages are unique. Tell your requirements to them, and they'll offer you their best!

If you want to be in the lap of nature, enjoy good service, and see authentic Himachali hill accommodation, this is the place to be. It is just amazing, we spent two nights in this beautiful place just by the side of the Manali to Chandigarh highway on the river Beas. The food is just fantastic, I enjoyed the trout they serve along with the nice spread. Just the perfect place to unwind, and the activities of Nature walk or for the children are great. I wish I could have stayed more and absorbed more of this. Will be back for more maybe in the future.

We stopped at Neeralaya for breakfast on her way to Shimla. It is in the lap of nature with the Beas running down on the plains along the beautiful valleys. The resort was clean and perhaps will have beautiful colors in spring and autumn.

GIven it was off-season when we visited, it was nice of Muneer to accommodate us despite a short notice. We called the previous evening and Muneer was away in Chandigarh! Yet we had a great breakfast and spent close to two hours enjoying pleasant nature - the people, Sheru and the place. We had pleasant conversation with Muneer about his passion for staying close to nature, farming and life in the valley. He even gave us a complete tour of all the cottages and it was great to see the amount of detail in the design.

Kala made us excellent breakfast and served us with a wonderful smile. Aksh made us comfortable until the breakfast was served and Muneer came. Shobana walked all over the property to open the cottages for our tour. Sheru, the pet dog, gave us a warm welcome.

Our Manali visit couldn't have ended any better.

Room Tip: Work with Muneer to plan your stay to suit you.
