Most of the people who loves nature must have dreamed of staying in a place like this. Tirthan valley is in itself a pristine valley with white gushing waters of Tirthan river flowing by the side of the road or sometimes through deep gorges. The riverside resort is a small brick building with six rooms only situated on a small bar/island created by the river at some point. The river flows through one arm and the other is dry. The road to Gosaini is on the other side of the river and guests and luggages need to cross the river on a small basket trolley hanging by the rope. This itself is an adventure. Once on the other side we all felt that we should have booked this place for a longer stay. The rooms are well maintained, spacious and clean. There are large open area for children to enjoy themselves. You can have all the meals sitting by the river which is only a few steps away. The place is maintained by Bhuvan who doubles up as the cook. The food is awesome. If you are tired of eating good food three times a day then go for a trek in the Great Himalayan National park or some adventure activity to get some fat burned. These can be arranged by Bhuvan. You can also go for a Trout fishing trip along the river.
There are not many places to stay in the Tirthan valley and all are on the road to Gosaini and by the river. We were a bit disappointed initially for not getting booking in Raju Barti which is the most known place around there. But after staying in this place we alI felt this one is probably best located to enjoy the river to the fullest. Honestly speaking I felt sad when the time came to return to the concrete jungle.
