We were travelling across Madhya Pradesh (12-day tour) and had booked all hotels from MP Tourism. While the experience in most were quite good, this one as pathetic, to say the least. Firstly, the "huts" are in need to urgent maintenance. The bathrooms are designed in a very odd manner with the toilet seat right in the middle of the bathroom. In one of the rooms occupied by my brother and his family, the switches sent off sparks, and it was a real scare. The geyser needs to be on for a minimum of 25 minutes for any hot water to be running. Another painful experience was that my parents (both aged around 70) had to trudge up a steep path to reach their "hut", and the manager was least interested in even hearing out the problem. The beds were rickety, and every time you turned, it would feel like the bed would crash. The property could have been much better maintained, but somehow nobody seems to care. The breakfast is served only around 9:30 am, despite 8 am being mentioned as the time, and that delays your plans. Also, it is odd for them to charge for boiled eggs ordered for the child, which again did not make it to the table for some reason. The staff just seems to be completely disinterested in anything that you wish to convey. We chose not to have lunch or dinner at the hotel. A REALLY BAD EXPERIENCE, and one that marred our experience in Pachmarhi.

There are huts as well as cottages. Huts are better maintained then the cottages. The advantage with the cottages are two rooms but very old and poorly maintained. Location is nice and big area to roam around. Very quiet and full of greenery. During rains lots of insects manage to come inside the room. One big toilet and two small but nothing is maintained and the rusty water coming from the water heater. Better to avoid as there are other options. Restaurant is OK and complimentary breakfast is served hot.

Location of this hotel is very good & surrounding of this hotel is splendid. I visited this hotel continuous two times with my brother in law & his family. This cottage includes the 2 spacious bed rooms with attached bathroom. I selected this cottage on demand on my son. Restaurant is very nice & good food. I stayed in this cottage in the month of August 2012 & 2011.

Room Tip: check the bed before checking in to cottage. some of bed are very noisy.

Let me first tell you the great things. Location is awesome. You will be blown away by the way the hotel is laid out. But the rooms were damp when we went in. Could be because of the incessant rains but the damp smell when you hit the bed is a huge put off. Also you do not get mobile network in the rooms. Service is little lazy. Though they do serve you whatever you ask for and are cordial, they happen to take very long for everything. In all an average hotel. Would have been a 5 if not for the damp rooms

hotel is bit far away from market but surrounding is splendid. we got a chance to stay in huts as well as cottages. huts are much well maintained than cottages. cottages includes 2 bedrooms and one big attached bathroom and one saperate toilet and bath area. the saperate one is not well maintained. u will find many tiny frogs in that. Rooms are spacious, well with a comfort bed. staff is well behaved. good budget stay. they have a speciality chinese restaurant called china bowl. offers limited variety of food.

This is Madhya Pradesh Tourism hotel in the only hill station of Madhya Pradesh.
Panchvati is a very basic hotel in a very nice location.

The hotel is quite far from market and you have to travel about a Kilometer for reaching market.

Please note that there is no mobile network in this area.

Cottages had a small sitting room, 2 bedrooms with & attached bathrooms. Rooms were spacious, clean, warm & cosy. Staff was courteous, helpful & friendly. They arranged for bonfires in the evenings & 2-wheeler for sight-seeing.

Cottages faced the golf course & were near other resorts like Glenn View, Amaltas, etc.

Homely food though service is a little slow. There are resturants nearby incase you want a change of taste. They also arranged for drinks at our request.

Overall, lovely experience as we had all the time to go around the place on our own as well as relax in the evenings!

Incase you are looking for 5 star-like services, this wouldnt be ideal! Its more of a humble & leisure stay!
