We stayed there for couple of days and it was a wonderful experience. Full of flowers and maintained garden, play area and lawn. Besides the beautiful lake. Rooms are spacious and bathroom is clean and fitted with all required accessories. Food is good. They also have bycycles which one can rent. I enjoyed exploring near by places on bycycle.

This is a very nice place to stay at..
1. Lovely location - just besides the lake.. Pretty gardens, especially the flowers..
2. Clean and big rooms.. Infact the ceiling height of each room is unimaginable for someone residing in Mumbai!
3. Well furnished rooms
4. Breakfast spread is good and delicious.. With that experience in mind, we decided to go for a-la-carte for dinner, but were a little disappointed.. The food was just about average!
5. The staff is really helpful and courteous
6. Ample parking space for cars
7. We booked a day trip to caves etc from them, and it turned out to be very good.. The guide was excellent!
All in all, great stay! :)

I believe champak bungalow is a restored property which was a bungalow occupied by a British person... the heritage rooms certainly feel so with a fireplace (which is defunct). Dont take the tents if u can and stay in these rooms. It is a smallish property but cosy. The food is amazing (being south indians we simply loved the paneer dishes) though you will tend to find aloo in almost everything... not much to do in the hotel but that is precisely the point of pachmarhi relax and unwind...the lake is walking distance wherein u can do ur usual fare of paddle boating... the winter months are pretty chilly so take appropriate clothing...

Room Tip: Dont take the tents if u can... nothing much different

Hats off to MP Tourism for developing such a beautiful property with excellent hospitality. It doesnt look like a state-run place at all. I mean the professionalism is really commendable. The entire staff is very warm and courteous.

I had booked 2 AC tents for 2 days, got a call from manager in the morning confirming our time of arrival and our meal preference. We reached pretty late due to traffic on the way but still was served hot and tasty lunch without any fuss about being late.

The tarriff includes 3 meals + 2 tea which is a definitely a big plus as there are no good places to eat in near vicinity. However, the choices available to vegetarians is limited, mostly a dry vegetable, a paneer dish, daal, rice and tawa chapati alongwith soup, papad, salad and dessert. Food is tasty and homely.

The tents are spacious, neat, clean and simple but lack amenities like coffee machine or toileries like tooth-brush, tooth-paste, ear buds etc.

Overall a relaxing and satisfying experience.

Room Tip: Go for AC tents or delux rooms, avoid the heritage room no. 4 & 5 as they are very close to the restaurant.
