“Unhelpful”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 October 2013

When we reached the forest we found signs which forbade us from going in! We could have wandered along the little trails ignoring the signage, but we decided not to.

Instead we visited the Monolith festival going on outside the forest. Since it lasted only two days, it is not likely you will see this. So find out more about the forest before you go.

“Not worth a visit”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 October 2013

There are neither signages nor proper info on how to visit this spot; only to be fleeced by the so called upkeepers of the Village. There is nothing much( atleast for untrained eye of the travller) except three stones( perhaps the local deities of villagers). Pure waste of time going from Shillong.

Next to Mawphlang it is a good walk into the forest. Also this place will hold the upcoming MONOLITH food festival at the end of October 2013.

“must for all the botanist and natualist”

This place has an aroma of mystery. Don't go here just for pleasure. If you are not serious nature lover, this is not the place for you. This place is really that sacred.
