Just arrived back from a week at the Aqus Silva Beach and have had a fantastic time. After reading some of the other reviews on here i think i have been toa different hotel to the other review writers! We arrived in the early hours of the morning but check in was quick and easy and a porter was on hand to show us to our room. The rooms have been re furbished to high standad although the bathroom was a bit small. The location was excellent and the staff in the restaurant were wonderful especially Christina who looked after us so well, nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent every night, plenty of choice and think the hotel have taken on board other comments as we never had to wait for a table and there were plenty of staff. The bar was busy but we never had more than two people in front of us, so not too long to wait for a drink, and the barman, Kostas, always had a smile for everyone. He is a star!! The onyl down side was the evening entertainment..or lack of it. It would have been nice to have entertainment in the bar a few more nights, instead of just one or two All in all a fabulous holiday...and would definately visit again..I'm only sorry that we were only there for a week...next time it will be two!!

Loved the place! so did other people we spoke to whilst there. We know that there were teething problems - only to be expected - and that was obviously reflected in the price we paid. Really don't know what people expect -cannot believe some of the comments. Staff superb - from the reception staff (definitely the most friendly and helpful we have come across) to the chambermaids- our room was cleaned everyday while we were at breakfast. The rooms were perfect, and definitely the best we have stayed in.
Such a pretty and clever layout of the site, perfect location and the peace of having no children - that was an absolute bonus.....
Everyone we spoke to, whilst we were there, really, really enjoyed themselves. We would love to go back to this hotel, but think that by the time the teething problems sorted out, we would not be able to afford!

Just returned from a week at this Hotel. Food OK but not much daily variety. Not kept as hot as it could have been. Tables in Main dining room not cleared and re-set as quickly as some hotels we have stayed in resulting in Guests doing it themselves. Also we stayed All Inclusive and there were no snacks available between meals except at 'Tea Time' which was also a disappointment. Most all inclusive offer snacks during the day from a 'Snack Bar' instead of using the main dining room all the time. Our room was at the side of the Hotel and was quite noisy, it states in the Brochure that the front is noisy but we were at the side and the road was nearer to us that at the front of the Hotel and it was quite noisy even during the night. Also the Main entertainment area was not too far from us and the music could he heard very clearly at well past 11pm. All in All we were quite disapoointed with our holiday and would not hurry to repeat the experience. One Good Point the Al La Carte Restaurant was excellent both the food and service could not be faulted.

If you want sterilised milk with your cereal, then this is the place for you!! The food is repeatative and boring, very little change from day to day. One fish dish for those of us who dont eat meat. No hot vegetables apart from sprouts and carrots. Our room was kept spotlessly clean, towels changed every day and sheets mid week.

We arrived to be shown to a room in the annexe which was dire. We took one look at it and did a swift about turn. To be fair to the reception staff, they provided us with a refurbished room which was very nice. However, until the annexe is renovated, I think they shouldn't let out these rooms. They were more like 1*. Like some of the other reviewees we felt that the food was abysmal, Stewed (tough) beef, stewed pork, stewed chicked. Same old, same old every night. The only thing that was half decent was the salad bar. Packet soup, yuck!! The service in the restaurant was practically non existent. Definitely not enough staff to cope with the volume of people. We had a meal in the a la carte too, but although it was well presented, the quality was not good. Most days we had to search for cutlery and clear tables. The bar had queues a mile long most evenings, but the staff were wonderful and extremely hard working. If you want a sunbed, get up very early, otherwise you have no chance! Good thing, sunbeds were quite comfortable and pool was lovely. However, I saw at least four people slip whilst on the steps leading into the pool. A warning notice was eventually put up, but this issue needs to be addressed before someone is badly injured. The steps need to have ridges on them. My final comment is about the entertainment, which was very amateurish. The need a proper sound system and some good music to get people up dancing. Magda was the star of the animation team. A wonderful character with a great personality and she worked very hard throughout the day with all her classes. I don't think I would go to this hotel again, unless they improved on the standard of food and addressed the staff shortage.

Hi guys, I wanted to thank you again for the moments of relaxation and harmony I have felt during my stay to your beautiful hotel which were beyond my expectations. You know deeply how to accommodate "difficult guests" and serve them the best way. Thank you for my birthday surprise and wishes and all the nice talking with the majority of your management and staff team. I am feeling obliged to share the unforgettable experience in this hotel with all you new potential guests and suggest tdefinately his product to you. The only negative is the beach with rocks, never mind the pools were more than great. Sushi bar beyond the best one can be compared with the best worldwide, wifi free connection, so take the notebook with you, speed incredible. The unforgettable point though is the staff which although overworked does a great job with proffesionalism and smile!, congrats! Definately we will come back, if not September for sure next summer. Take care and keep up the good work!!!!!!

We spent a week at this hotel from 13/05/10-20/05/10. The welcome was very warm and we were shown straight to our room. The room was very clean and well decorated after the recent refurbishment, Our beds were made up 6 out of the 7 days and bath towels were also changed. Two pool towels were provided and Im sure if we had asked for fresh ones during our stay they would have been provided but we weren't bothered.
The food was very good, plenty of choice, the salad bar was our particualr favourite. The staff were very busy in the restaurant when we arrived as the hotel was full but they were very helpful and cleared the tables as soon as possible. The one true stroke of genius was having self service white, red or rose wine on tap during meal times-and it was very reasonable!
I was disappointed to have to do the 'get up at the crack of dawn to get a sunbed' thing, but the first morning after we had eaten breakfast there was not a single sunbed to be had-anywhere- at 9am!! We resorted to going to the beach to get a sunbed-but we had to pay for them!! I got up at 7am to put towels on sunbeds each morning after that but the hotel did get quieter throughout the week so more beds were available without the necessity of getting up quite so early.
The bar staff worked hard but at its busiest the bar areas did have long queues, but hey, we were on holiday so we were in no rush! Unfortunately not all guests were quite so patient.
We booked into the a la carte restaurant one of the nights and thoroughly enjoyed the meal we had there.
The only negative things would be that our room was quite noisy as it faced onto the main road and they start work early over there! Also, having done all inclusive before, we did expect the mini fridge in our room to be stocked with bottled water, soft drinks and beer but it was empty and we were told this was the norm. The other disappointing thing was that the Sushi bar didn't open until our last night and we had already booked to eat a la carte so couldn't try it out-we also thought it was in the all inclusive, but it wasn't.The only other thing was the size of the shower cubicles in the rooms!! Myself and my husband are of average size so heaven knows how the larger amongst us managed!!
All in all the Aquis Silva Beach did pretty much everything it said on the tin. Well worth the money we paid to stay there.
