Everything was just perfect at Albatros Spa & Resort Hotel! Firstly, it was close to many attractions, and 30 metres from the beach, which was magnificent! Secondly, the food was awesome! I tried the buffet & the a a carte menus. Thirdly, the rooms were very clean and the hotel was nicely decorated form the inside and the outside. There was, also two big pools, and two rooms for kids and not only! I spent much time there playing ping pong and table hockey! Finally, the spa was something I'll always remember! You could do manicure, pedicure, hamam, sauna, hydro-massage and there was also a coiffure! To sum up, it was one of my best holidays, that I will never forget!

My girlfriend and I spent a week at this hotel and we are very delighted about our vacation.

We found this hotel an excellent choice for Crete and we are very happy we chose Albatros.

Location:The hotel is located in a quiet area of Chersonisos, only 25 m away from the sea.

Rooms:
The rooms are spacious enough for 2 and equipped with everything you need.
Our room had partial view to the sea and we found this to be delightful. We also enjoyed the shower gel and the shampoo, provided by Mastic Spa - seemed to be quality products and not ordinary items usually provided at other hotels.
Superior room is a must.
The only improvement that could be made: Rooms are not soundproof so every noise from outside is easily heard.
Our room was located above the pool bar and all the music and noise came up through the pipelines. There was a hole in the wall near the entrance, covered by a painting - probably left for interventions on the utilities pipeline. This sucks however, because you can also hear when your neighbors above flush their toilets.
We reported this issue but the reception told us that the music at the bar stops at 12:00 pm. Of course it didn't - usually at 2:00 am. Luckily we are young and the music wasn't bad. I shazamed a couple of songs too :))

Food:
I was surprised about the food, to be honest. Dishes are correctly cooked and the ingredients are local and seem to be natural.
There was a high variety of greek/cretan and international food.
Fruits, vegetables, pork/chicken/lamb/turkey, pasta, deserts etc.
Tip: always check what the chef is cooking outside. Pasta is great and the deserts are a must!

Staff: The staff was kind and prompt to any requests. We also booked a car at the reception of the hotel and we got what we looked for.

Spa: We booked SPA day for 2 (70 euros)
It's actually SPA Hour for 2. The massage takes 25 minutes, they offer 2 glasses of champagne. Jacuzzi, sauna (wet+dry).
I wasn't very delighted about the massage and overall i found this quite short. I didn't have the time to drink my champagne properly so i had to sip it quickly.
If you book this don't forget that when you check in the reception hands you a discount voucher (5 euros). I forgot about this.

There are a lot of tourism agencies in Chersonisos where you can book trips across the Island.
We went to Gramvousa-Balos lagoon by trip and to Vai beach by car and it was amazing. Balos lagoon has crystal clear water and white/pink sands. If you forget where you are you might very well think you are in Caribe. I definitely recommend this!

Hotel very clean, excellent service, food very good, Local to all amenities, would go there again sometime and would recommend to anybody. My son has a severe nut allergy and the head Maitre d' at the hotel kindly informed him of any nuts in every dish, lovely hotel.

Room Tip: ask for a room overlooking the pool area.

I have just got back from the most amazing week at this hotel. before i left i read all the reviews about the rooms etc. and i was in real panic as i only booked a standard room. yes they are slightly small but it has everything you need. the only downfall is probably the shower as it really is tiny but i didnt care.
The staff are fantastic and so friendly, especially the bar man alex he made our nights at albatross unforgetable!!
Theres so.much to do in the town, little shops restraunts shisha bars night clubs etc. the beach is litteraly at the back doir of the hitel so beautiful. it was also my 21st birthday while i was there and they upgraded me to superior for my.last two nights free off charge and left a birthday cake in our fridge. they were so sweet!
The spa is also lovely. everything about this place was perfect and i could not have wished for better. ignore the bad stuff its what you.make of !

Overall excellent, all perfect, simply amazing!!!!
Excellent location very closed to the airport, easy to reach without any problems. The hotel itself is just 50m from a magnificent beach and 150m from the town center, the cafes, night clubs, etc. Also, very closed to unlimited attractions, like the famous Aquarium, etc.
Albatros Spa & Resort Hotel has a very pleasant environment and the personnel is extremely friendly, helpful & always smiling! All necessary services are included, nothing missing, all areas and rooms very clean & tidy, decoration is beautiful and the overall feeling is simply "like home". Pool is ambient and very relaxed. Spa & amenities are perfect with excellent service and very competitive prices.
Food is simply wonderful, we tried everything, breakfast, lunch, dinner, "à la carte" menus, all excellent. Excellent variety & quality, emphasis in traditional & local food, but with all international dishes included; something new every day, overall we would characterize buffets as exciting!
Overall, staying in the Hotel is an unforgettable experience. During night time, there is always an entertaining happening or show, and especially the barman himself is very kind and friendly person. He knows everything about all cocktails & drinks and for sure he contributes into making the whole experience of staying in this Hotel unforgettable, not to mention the two young & lovely ladies who own the Hotel!

Room Tip: Any room is best value for money!!

We`ve just returned from this hotel where we stayed a week in a standard room with half board.
The first strong point of the hotel is its excellent location close to the center, but at the end of the walkway, in an area away from the noise, but close to the sea.
The beach of the hotel is sandy, but there are stones into the water.
Albatros hotel is comprised of a main body with standard rooms and two new buildings with superior rooms. I've only seen pictures of superior rooms, so I can only say that outside their glass balconies looked beautiful and the windows of the rooms were large.
First sensible thing I noticed was the hotel's entrance hall, welcoming, shady and pleasant, decorated with some sofas and carved furniture, old photos and other items reminiscent of a grandparents house. In lifts, Melina Mercouri`s voice resounds with 'Ta pedia tou abduction' so that you`d get on the elevator, even for only one floor!
The standard room we stayed in had a large terrace, shared with two other rooms. Each room had its portion of the terrace. It had plastic tables and chairs and a tumble dryer. We could see swimming pools area and the sea from the edge of the terrace.
The first minus is the small size of the standard rooms, but we did not complain, because we had been informed in advance reading trip advisor. I prefer to save the difference for a superior room because we didn`t go to Crete in order to stay in the room and we have plenty of stuff to spend money for! However, the room was equipped with essential stuff: twin stuck (it seems that double or twin is the same in Greece!), a chair, a dressing table, TV, AC, mini fridge, safe and a wardrobe that do not correspond to my claims, but these are insignificant details. The bathroom was without ventilation, unfortunately, but with a mirror big enough. There was shampoo and shower gel that had a nice orange smell, but we had come up with our own. The room was cleaned daily and towels changed on request (who wanted to change them had to leave them in the bathtube, according to an announcement in the lobby). We also had a hair dryer, but it was old and started to vibrate at speed 2. My hair is long and dries hard, so I would have brought one from home if I had known.
The hotel has all kinds of features that we did not use: gym, pool, spa, cosmetics. For those interested, they offer: spa for two at 69.9 EUR, with champagne included.
The hotel has two swimming pools, lounge chairs and umbrellas at each, some of them on the grass. I did not swim in the small pool, it was just too small, I used the large pool instead, which was 1.30 meters depth. Another minus: the pool closes at 8 pm, I never understood why Greeks close the pools so early. The pool water was a little cold, but offset by clean, Saturday night we even saw a clean, they had a device like a robot (like it was Wall-e), which moved to the bottom as those devices that smooth ice skating competitions.
For those with children, there is a small playground between the two pools.
There are two restaurants, Mediteranee and Daphne, which is a la carte.
They organized various events: Greek night, lobster night (Tuesday - Greek dinner,15 EUR / person and Friday – lobsters, 28 EUR / person) and after dinner, around 9 pm, there were free performances on the terrace: Greek dances on Tuesday and an acrobatic show on Friday.
The restaurant is spread over two floors and a terrace, but, unfortunately, sometimes it was quite difficult to find a place on the terrace.
The food was very good. Breakfast was always the same, but offset by the variety of ways: boiled eggs, poached or scrambled eggs, sausages, baked beans for those who prefer the English style, croissants, butter, margarine, honey, jams of various kinds, cheese, sausage, pancakes, different cereals, milk, vegetables and fruits. Water and juice could were free from the dispenser. They served tea and coffee (I love coffee, but what they served was a very very weak filter coffee).
Dinner was more various. Even though there were not many different kinds of food, they prepared it in different ways every evening and everyone had a choice between fish, chicken or other meat, side dishes, salads, pastas and other dishes, and they also served specific Cretan cuisine every night. Desserts, fruits and icecream were delicious. There was also a chef who was cooking and could serve customers with the food he cooked in front of them. The drawback is that the food was so good, that you tend to eat a little too well and, in combination with sunbathing… bad for your figure!
Drinks are served at the table, for a fee, and the staff was extremely friendly, waitresses were both from Greece and from other places.
In conclusion, we liked there, we felt good and overall we were pleased!

I just came back from this hotel and i only have good words to say about it.After check in we were showed to our room, a superior room. The room is spacious, new and modern furniture, flat tv,mini fridge,a robe and slippers, free Ac and safe box.The bathroom is very big, with a bathtub, dryer and telephone. We also were lucky enough to have a balcony with a view to the pool and to the sea!The sea is like 50 m from the hotel and a 5-10 minutes walk from the center and the promenade of Hersonissos!
The hotel has 2 pools,a big one and a smaller but more intimate one with enough free sunbeds for everyone. The breakfast was pretty much the same everyday but the food was very tasty and plenty of choices:cereals, milk, butter, omelet, fried eggs, boiled eggs, vegetables salad, pancakes(my fav),sausages, cheese, bacon, juices, fruits, cakes etc,etc
At dinner you can find chicken, nuggets, beef, sheep, fish, fries, potatoes, tatziky, moussaka, icecream, cakes made on spot at your request, all kind of cakes and very tasty ones, fruits etc
Most of the personnel is very kind, always smiling and say "kalimera" or "kalispera"
The hotel has a spa, sauna,a beauty salon, shop and souvenirs an a free gym.
We were very happy with our hotel choice,it was well worth it and i 100 % recommend it but you must have a superior room!
