We have just spent 1 week here, and it more than met our expectations. As most people point out, Lisa, Kostas, Angela, Alex and all the other staff made us feel completely welcome. Ella the dog and her wonderful puppies added to the fun.
The apartments were clean and given we arrived right at the end of the season we were impressed at how well kept they are. This is a basic holiday, but everything we needed was there.
We had no intention of cooking meals in the apartment, so the small hob, kettle and fridge were more than adequate for our needs. having just enough of everything is a real bonus when it comes to tidying up after ones-self!!
The pools and gardens are lovely and better cared for than anywhere I have stayed previouly. (and I have stayed at much more expensive joints!!)
Everything we needed for entertainment was within easy reach, and given that one of our party was considerably older than she would want to be announced here, Herronissos and Piskopiano, were within easy walking distance. We did regret wasting an evening with a trip to the over-hyped David's in Piskopiano. but thoroughly enjoyed eating with Yanos at his restaurant Lychnos also in Piskopiano.
This has been a lovely lovely holiday which we all enjoyed very much indeed. We will be back!!

Me and my husband arrived at Diamond village on the 11th of October late at night and was welcomed by Lisa and Kostas. Our room was on the 2nd floor with amazing views of the mountains and the sea. As said in previous comments rooms are basic but they have everything you need for self catering accommodation. Apartments are brilliant location 10 minutes walk from busy Hersonissos and short walk to Greek villages up the hill. We visited both and found some fab restaurants to eat. We ate in David's up the hill which was typically Greek with amazing food. Our favourite place to eat was Mythos in Hersonissos. Staff so friendly and food superb. Had such an amazing holiday thanks to Lisa, Kostas and family in Diamond village. They made us feel so welcoming every day of our holiday and couldn't do enough for you. Will definitely be back :-)

Stayed here the first week in October. Arrived after 11pm to be greeted by Lisa and shown to our room by Kostas. First impressions ok. Basic room (as most self catering accommodation is in Greece) but lacking in adequate facilities to cater fully so mostly ate out. Very limited food available in the bar at Diamond Village when we were there-perhaps due to time of year...? Lovely pool and entire site clean and welcoming. Best thing about these apartments is the location. You can enjoy busy Hersonnissos if this is what you want but we favoured the local tavernas in Piskopiano, Kefalatouri and Old Hersonissos - all within 10 minutes walk and well worth it. One grumble about this resort.....excessive charge of 30 euros for late departure - even though this had been requested at booking. Some people were told check out was 12pm, we were told 11am! There were still empty rooms from previous departures so we could have been easily accommodated in our room for another few hours......not great customer service. Thanks to Lisa for always being cheerful despite such long days!

After reading all the good reviews we were a little disappointed with our room when we got there. We were self catering. The room itself was tired and could have done with a good clean. There were ants in the kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen only had a plug in hob to cook with and there was no tea towels or washing up liquid, although there was a fridge, crockery and cutlery.

The bathroom was on the small side with only a small shower and hot water wasn't always available. While the towels and sheets were changed every couple of days they were often stained or threadbare.

The bedroom was on a mezzanine floor with some fairly steep wooden stairs. Worryingly there was only a really low wall to stop you falling to the floor below. Not the best if you need the loo in the middle of the night or have children.

On the plus side, the pool was lovely and the staff welcoming and always had time for a chat.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Diamond Village Apartments for a week on the lovely Greek Island of Crete. In the peak of summer, it was great to relax by the pool, which was always clean and inviting.

The room was very average, and in need of an update. The bed was not the most comfortable, it was a basic room and unfortunately not very sound proof if you have neighbours who like to party til all hours of the morning.

All members of staff were ever so friendly and always made an effort to have a chat and make guests feel welcome. On our first night there, a Cretan barbecue was held, which for 15 Euro per person included sausages, chicken and a variety of salad. The highlight was the traditional Cretan dancing which was a lot of fun and a good way to become acquainted with other guests.

The apartments are ideally located between the quaint village of Piskipiano and the bustling town of Hersonissos; so you really are exposed to the best of both worlds.

My main qualm was with the breakfast. We opted for the bed and breakfast option, which I wouldn't recommend. The first few mornings we were served coffee or tea and cold toast with very poor quality cheese and ham. Later in the week, we asked for an English breakfast which was better (not by much), but reluctantly served, which was disappointing.
