“Good and not so good..”
Reviewed 7 September 2013

Spent a week in this hotel (first week of September 2013). My feelings about the hotel are kind of mixed up so I will try to point out it's good and also not so good sides.

The hotel is located on a hill, which we knew and didn't have any problem with it, but keep that in mind if you have mobility issues. In that case, even if you do not wish to leave resort at all, this hotel is probably not a good choice, because it's made of several buildings on a hill and you will have to walk up and down a slope and stairs a lot. Good side of it's location is it's view.
The hotel has it's own pool, which is medium sized and deep from 0.9m to almost 3m, The pool and it's surroundings could be cleaned a bit better.

Public beach is located at the bottom of the hill and offers not only beach but also swimming pool, children's pool, bungee jumping, paintball and several snack bars and cafes (you have to pay for some of these activities, but the entrance to the beach is free of charge). Hotel offers shuttle free of charge 3x/day to and from the beach.

Rooms are large, our room was actually made of a 'living room' with a small kitchen (which we didn't use) and a bedroom plus bathroom. We also had a small terrace with a table and a few chairs and a sea view. I have to say room (especially bathroom) could be cleaned a bit better. Had my own towels with me, so I don't really know how often do they change towels, but there is room to make hygiene a bit better.

Food was more than decent. All inclusive included main meals, snacks (didn't like the snacks that much, but enjoyed pop corns every day) and local soft drinks and alcohol drinks. Main meals were more or less tasty, I never stayed hungry. There was always ice-cream also.
I would be happier if the staff took a better look on the dishes before they put them out, because, even though dish-washer can not wash all the dishes perfectly, staff should notice the dishes that are not clean and put them away rather than put them out leave it to guests to do the triage.

Staff is pretty nice, they are not pushy and I was under the impression that they are really trying to do a good job. But I think hotel services could be strongly improved if they only took a bit better care of the details.

WiFi is free of charge in the lobby. Safe costs 12 EUR per week. Air condition is also an option if you pay additionally, but we really didn't need it during our stay.

I noticed a few ants in our room, but we didn't keep any food there so didn't actually have a big ant problem.

Beds could be more comfortable, but it's a matter of taste.

Best thing about this hotel is a view. It stands on a hill, some 10-15 min by foot away from the beach. Almost every room and every table at the restaurant will have it's own view at the sea. Pool is big and nice for swim but if you prefer sandy beach there is a Star Beach down the hill (3 eur sun bed and 2 eur for sunshade - sept 2013). It was never too hot due to the light breeze.
Staff is excellent ! Young, quick and smiled, no complaints there. Food is also great - pancakes for breakfast, ice cream during the day and excellent chicken. Desserts could be better..
Main complain is that cleaning time for our room was sometime before 17h. That messed up our afternoon break pretty much.
Also don't forget to bring protection from mosquitoes !

Enjoyed my stay here it was quite and picturesque with lovely viewss.

The rooms were pretty basic and had serious ant problems. ..wat evet wasnt in the fridge got swammed over in seconds.

The beds were comfortable and the bathroom again was fairly basic but useable. The air con was not included even though we were all inclusive and when we did pay for it was loud and not very effective. We asked if it could be mended and were told it was doing wat it was supposed to do. Still we managed by opening windows etc.

The kitchen wad confusing as it had only got a sink and a fridge but it turnef out most other appliances were available to sign out at reception which wad strange but not a problem and as we were all inclusive we didnt need much anyway.

The pool and pool area were fine. Not ground breaking but clean and alway had sun beds available. The staff were v good at colecting empty cups and plates etc.

The food, again, was fine. Pleanty of it with always a salad bar and a chiken nuggets and chips option do no one went hungry and all perfectly tastey. Not the gratest variety but a good please-all middle ground.
The only thing I would sufest is that they have something a bit moee substantial than fruit or mini strawberry crepes on the mid morning snack bar for those of us lazy so and sos who like to sleep in past breakfast.

The views from this hotel are stunning as I said but this is because it is at the top of a very steep hill. It is a good twenty min slog down to the beach and more hard work back jp again. It is do able but I will say it wasca bit of a pain eso if you are carrying heavy things like bottles of water only available from shops at bottom of the hill and makes popping back up for the all inclusive lunch during a day onthe beach a real bind. There is a shuttle bus which runs a few times a day but not that often and is a mini bus which seats up to 12 so it can be full up.

The alcahol is free floeing and self service which was brilliant and had pretty much the badic selectipn of wine s spirits and beersvall produced locally which, again, is 'fine'

The staff were friendly and helpfull and reslly pulled out all the stops to try and help find my lost phone (totally my own fault. Put it down in the town some where) the pool side entertainment guy was encouraging whilst not being pushy

All in all an enjoyable no frills holiday. By no means the ritzcand some nicitys eould have been. ...well nice....but it did not spoil our time in create

Stayed here for a week. There are plus points. The food was fine at mealtimes (snacks were nothing to look forward to though - leftovers). Many of the staff were friendly and obviously worked very hard. Getting sunbeds wasn't an issue (possibly due to the fact many needed to escape!). Location good, easy walk down to town and across to prettier villages with good restaurants and bars. Although drinks finish at 10 they are happy for you to stack them up.
On the other hand, the rooms make a travelodge seem like 5 star, dingy, dated, basic, air con in 1 room. Pool was dirty. Mentioned it and was cleaned the following 2 days, which almost got it to ok standard but never done again during rest of stay. If you arrive late bring snacks as cant access, even purchase food after 8.30. 1 bar area with great views but fairly small, so difficult to escape from the chavtastic entertainment. 1 unhelpful receptionist, the others were great. Very wavy wifi available in reception. But all in all I suppose you get what you pay for.

My partner and I had a great time here the food was good and there was always something to eat , even though some people never stopped complaining we found the staff we're great and always helpful and the accomodation large and spacious and clean. And the entertainment was a great laugh every evening. We met loads of nice people who enhanced the holiday too. So we have told all our friends and relies about this little gem and hopefully we will return soon.
