Fantastic value, lovely spacious room with balcony overlooking the Cretan sea.
Good selection of food at large buffet for breakfast, lunch and evening meal.
Hotel was very clean, the staff very effecient, and two large outdoor swimming pools provided plenty of outdoor fun, plus more energetic sports also available.
We thoroughly enjoyed relaxing holiday in a well run family orientated hotel in beautiful area near the sea, mountains and not too far into town.

Arrived at the hotel at 4.30 am and took till 5.30 to check in, helped by a really grumpy receptionist who took an age to find us a free room which turned out to ne a large but dirtyy apartment on the highest level next to waste ground, which we only found with the help of the night guard. After two hours sleep and getting no help from our tour company we spoke to a very sympathetic and helpful receptionist who offered us the choice of two alternative rooms. Moved into a nice clean family room in no time, although the safe, aircon and the room fridge all cost extra.
Overall this hotel is not worthy of four stars - the all inclusive element is based on very cheaply produced (but often tasty) food with limited choice, a canteen type dining room without aircon but with plenty of flies, and weak hot drinks only available from battered old urns. Local alcoholic and soft drinks are plentiful and the bar staff efficient and fiendly. Cleanlness could be greatly improved in many public areas, especially the food and drink serving areas, - .food is left out uncovered throughout meal times. Located across a busy main road from a nice clean safe beach, the hotel is a 15-20 minute walk from Hersonissos centre. Not the most interesting area of Crete, other major towns are a minimum of 45 minutes away by bus. Entertainment in the hotel was limited to one (very professional) evening dance show in the whole week, and otherwise eveningsspent in the hotel after dinner can be quite uninspiring.

I have read many previous reviews in regards to the catering & to be quite candid, “I am totally discombobulated”!
Some patrons wrote that the food in this Hotel was absolutely sublime & other patrons stated that the food was lamentable. However now spending a wonderful week at the Mediterraneo, I discovered the truth. If you are the big fat ignorant slob whose consumption of food consists of the following: -

Burgers & Chips
Kebab & Chips
Curry & Chips
Snorkers & Chips
Fried Chicken & Chips
& Chips & Chips

Well “Cor Blimey Matey & A Up Lad”, this is not the place for you. The cuisine every day was the following: -

A plethora of Fresh Salad
Pasta & choice of Sauces
Fish
Braised Chicken or Beef or Duck or Pork
Mashed & Boiled Potatoes
A choice of boiled Vegetables
A plethora of Fruit
Fresh Crusty Bread

This is the first “All Inclusive” where you can consume three healthy meals a day for the tenure of your holiday & return home, without putting on weight!

Other observations: -

All the staff of the Hotel were very polite & helpful; thank you!
Our Room was “new”, clean with plenty of towels & maintained daily by excellent chambermaids; thank you again!
The pro bono Beer & Soda Water on self service was sublime

Other recommendations: -

The pro bono sun beds were plentiful; however the Hotel should introduce a two tier system of availability i.e. Sun beds for the big fat slobs & sun beds for the lighter weights. Unfortunately a myriad of sun beds were collapsing/collapsed due to the big fat slobs.

I had no problem with the pro bono beer & soda water; because that is all I drink. However, it would be a nice jester for the Hotel to introduce Vodka, Whiskey, Gin & Rum into the curriculum. This would accommodate the vast majority.

Introduce a bit of a music/dancing or entertainment on a nightly basis.

I feel that the British Government should introduce the same diet of this Hotel for all the big fat slobs in the UK . This would obviously reduce obesity in our country on a massive scale and save the tax payer a fortune.

I would recommend this sublime Hotel to everybody.

we stayed at this hotel for 5 days. arrived late night around 2am.
although we received rooms next day at 1pm, the hotel opened the restaurant when we arrived the same night and served us hot drinks and cookies.
we received breakfast startin 7am that morning and lunch.
the rooms are OK the bath is simple. there are two pools one with salthy water and the other one with regular water. very pleasant athmosphere, good food, not fancy but good.
the hotel is close to hersonisus but does not have a reachable beach its across the main road.
the staff is very helpfull and is weeling to fullfill our requests.

Just returned from a weeks holiday, had a great time. The hotel is in a great positon, and very clean, we were a group of seven and there was always somthing to eat, not one of us had a complaint. The pool bar staff were great, it was a self service pump and we never had to wait to be served you just went up and helped yourself. I've been lots of places where its two drinks only after standing in a que for half an hour, the self service
pumps made all the diffrence. On the down side, the pools were very salty, and we only had one nights entertainment. You couldn't get certain shorts as part of the all inclusive but we just bought a bottle of vodka - tip if you only drink shorts take bottle with you as it was 16 to 18 euros for a bottle of voka. All in all we had a great time and we would all go back to this hotel

Nice location, clean rooms - food was plentiful but repetative catered for German and Eastern eurpean guests - of which there were plenty.
All inclusive facilities are a joke - if you like cheap brandy, ouzo and raki and the local beer, fine - but that was it - we had to pay for anything else including bottled water - and there was nothing available between 09:30 and 11:00 - not even water - the bar closed promptly at 11:00 pm surly bar staff

Entertainment was only two days a week.

Could not do two weeks here .

olympic holidays won't get my custom again.
