“More than we expected”

Arrived by ferry from Athens and the hotel little bus was there to pick us up. Please advise by internet or phone your arrival time to get the bus service.

We had made a reservation through internet a month earlier and we expected to get the room we had booked. This was mid-May and the hotel / studios was just opening ( we were three couples) . The owner gave us upon arrival the front studio with two bedrooms and three terrace one of which facing the sea. We told him we did not had lunch and he prepared for us a terrific greek salad with white wine and a Tinos beer. We could not be more happier.

This was a terrific 4 night stay and every morning we had breakfast on the restaurant terrace (8€). The rooms were clean, colorful and had the morning sun. The living room with the front terrace facing the sea had the sunset. I dont know if it was because we were not many in the hotel but we were very well serviced on everything we asked for. We rented a car for a day and the car was delivered to our hotel. We visited Pyrgos and Pandormos on the other side of the island. Well worth it.

Even though the hotel beach (right in front) was not open for service (snacks and drinks), there were chairs and we relaxed on the patio to the sound of the waves and enjoyed the local kids having fun in the sea.

The walk to the village is definitely a 35 minute walk enjoyable from the hotel but coming back in the dark to the hotel we recommend taking a cab. It is worth it and is not expensive if you ask the price in advance to the driver.

All in all a very good relaxing stay.

Room Tip: All rooms of the main building have balconies either facing the morning sun or the sunset.

We spent a long time looking for a hotel for our 11 nights in Tinos and were pleased with our choice. The hotel is a Family run Business who definately were friendly, helpful and keen to please their guests. From the moment we arrived nothing was too much trouble, welcoming us with drinks & snacks & all the information and help we needed to enoy our stay. The beach is 1 minutes walk with waiter service to bring you refreshments, plenty of free sun beds and parasols. The food at the hotel is good and plentiful and always available. The short taxi ride into town costs between 3 and 5 euros where there is an abundance of shops and tavernas.Tinos is easyily accessible from Mykonos by ferry as are the neighbouring islands if you fancy a trip out. All in all a chilled, relaxing stay at a wonderful hotel. Highly recommended.

Just picked this hotel from listings on booking.com. Was a very pleasant surprise.
Warm welcome from Nikolas who runs the business with his brother.
I had a classic studio. Very nice, but definitely ready for a refurb. The kitchen was very understocked of placate, cups, pans etc. if you wanted to self cater(I did nt).
If you can afford the deluxe upgrade, take it. These beautifully restored rooms are worth the extra.
Beach and beach bar very nicely done, with very comfortable sun-beds, free of charge.
Breakfast was only 8 euros and was a small buffet style affair. There was plenty of choice for every taste. However, I was staying there for 8 nights and it was the exact same choice everyday. Got a bit boring, and towards the end i didn t even go to breakfast
All staff were extremely polit eand helpful.

Room Tip: Pay the extra for a deluxe. Worth it.

My husband and I chose to stay in an apartment as we would be on Tinos for three weeks. I selected the larger apartment as it had a king size bed and my husband is rather tall. The apartment was fairly new with a large (by European standards) shower and a small kitchenette. The apartment was very clean and was cleaned every day and the whole grounds were kept very clean. It was an easy 10-15 minute walk to town, where there were restaurants and a supermarket. The hotel has a restaurant, but it wasn't open yet, as was the case with many places. Nik and his family were very hospitable hosts and have a great place to stay. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. The only down side was that the Internet was only available in public areas and was a little spotty, but they were working on getting it throughout the whole place.

Together with my wife, we are regular visitors of Tinos Island and Golden Beach Hotel !
We stay there for 3-4 days almost every year.
This time we went there in early September for 3 days. The difference was we had our newborn 6-month baby with us... After a very exhausting year for my whole family and no summer holidays at all, we decided to have an escape from our daily routine, just looking for the basics of our life... Relax, Calmness, Fresh Air, Blue Clean Sea, Shining Sun, Swimming, Gardens, Quality Biological Food, but most of all a Friendly Environment, Facilities and Comfort to enjoy our little baby !!! Golden Beach did not disappoint us, since the Souranis family always does their best to make us feel relaxed, satisfied and happy.
Moreover, as we are Greek orthodox persons, we find Tinos Island as a place of pray and inner search for us. Its church is devoted to the Holly Mary and it is a very famous monument of Greek orthodox religion, attracting many visitors from around the globe.

Further to my previous report on that hotel, this time I want to add the following points:
1. We had absolutely no problem with our baby. The hotel offers a variety of rooms (hotel rooms, separated floor bungalows, two-floor blocks of flats etc). We stayed in a ground floor small suite, which was very spacious (it had a large bedroom with TV, a perfect living room with sofa bed and a modern LCD TV, as well as a full comfort kitchen), finely decorated with antiques and expensive items, and fully accommodated. It had a very beautiful and peaceful garden in front of us and a side seaview (if you prefer a clear seaview, you had better select the floor rooms). The hotel offered to us all the facilities and spaces necessary for such a little baby (a very good “baby bed”, all cuisine facilities for the food preparation, ample room for changing her clothes and diapers, drier etc). Even though the two-floor blocks of flats are closely built to each other we heard no annoying sounds from the clients above or beside to us. I think they had no disturbance from us either, as it seems that the hotel is well soundproof… Besides, as our baby is still little enough, I only enjoyed making some perfect peaceful walks around the hotel gardens and at the 3-km seaside !!! However, I saw older children playing at the hotel playground, which looks safe and well organized.
2. Just on the beach, the hotel has added a very elegant and cosy sun-protected deck, with 5-10 tables !!! Clients may buy drinks, refreshments, orange juices and snacks from the mini beach bar there, or even better order very good food from the nearby hotel’s excellent restaurant, which offers biological home-made Greek and Mediterranean specialties (I have not eaten such a huge and well made special omelette anywhere else !!!). Umbrellas and sunbeds are provided free of charge on the beach! The crystal clear waters and the fine sand always remain a timeless value !!!
- Prices of accommodation and foods were logical and lower than in the past, since the hotel seems to have adjusted to our difficult times... When we stayed there, it was the end of high season for the greek islands, it was a long weakend and since we are loyal clients, we paid only €50 per day for staying in such a luxurious accommodation (suite room) ! Besides, the cost / value relation of the food was very high !

Golden Beach is our first choice in Tinos Island due to the friendliness of the owners, cleanliness of the rooms, high quality of services, normal pricing and peaceful environment. I hope they keep up the good work…!!!

Room Tip: Rooms of first floor offer excellent seaviews and are preferable in summer time. Rooms of ground flo...

I stayed at Golden Beach Hotel at the end May 2012, it was very quiet and peaceful before the start of the summer season (and the weather was great). My friend and I thought we would only stay two nights and then move on to check out more islands, but this place was so wonderful we ended up staying for 5 nights! This is the perfect place to relax and hang out by the beach. The hotel is about a 15 min walk from the town, or a 5 min cab ride, so you are a little removed from the town and feel like you are in the country. You should definitely have the breakfast they serve on the terrace (ask for the yogurt)--I felt like I was living in a dream every morning sipping coffee and looking out at the Mediterranean Sea! We also had a view of the sea from our private patio. I booked our rooms online and the price was great for what we had. The brothers who own the hotel are absolutely lovely and thankfully spoke plenty of English since I know practically no Greek. I love this place and hope to be back someday!

We traveled as 2 couples from US and Romania to visit Tinos in May 2011. We picked this hotel based on pictures and it delivered big time! We arrived from Athens via ferry, rented a car from the port, and drove to this little gem just a short distance from Tinos main town. The owners were so friendly, as if they were old friend or family! We had coffee on the terrace overlooking the sea while waiting for the rooms to be ready. The rooms were beautiful, very clean, with the suites in the very front of the complex on the ground level closer to the sea purely outstanding! Charm and intimacy abound! We walked the beautiful beach and it was soothing! Oh, what a wonderful time! Slow pace, great company, superb sea views, what more can one want? Don't hesitate to book!

Room Tip: Ask very clearly and specifically (and have patience to wait if not what you asked for when you get...
