“Decent overall”

Spent just one night for a friends' wedding...and overall is a decent hotel on the beach which has clean water and nice sand. Old hotel but facilities are overall ok and overall i rate it fair as price was ok (50 euros for one night for one person with breakfast). For quiet family holidays on a beach hotel is acceptable.

Room Tip: Back building which is quiet

I was in Tinos for a weekend. I arrived from Santorini without booking, this was the hotel we found at Kionia. The staff, especially Eleni, was so friendly !!
They show us a very clean , ocean view room, in a good price.
We stayed very comfortable, very good breakfast was including, they gave us their laptop to check emails couse they had a problem in internet for guests.
The swimming pool very big and clean, there is another small for kids, and the beach infront was fantastic !!

We stayed in Tinos because we wanted somewhere quieter and cheaper than Mykonos and because we thought (wrongly, as it turned out), that ferries ran to Delos direct from Tinos. We chose the Tinos Beach Hotel because it was good value, had a beach and was relatively large.

It's a 1960s or very early 1970s building, with architectural references to the island's Venetian dovecotes. It's been modernised recently, but still has a deal of 1960s atmosphere, which we found rather endearing.

The staff were very helpful, and generally spoke English, although the hotel has few anglophone tourists (another plus, perhaps!) The hotel is recommended in at least one French guidebook.

Many of the guests are Greek pilgrimage parties, accompanied by Orthodox priests. At times breakfast feels like a reconstruction of the Council of Nicaea, only with orange juice and sausages/bacon!

Although it is some distance away from Tinos town, the hotel has its own bus serving ferries, and is served by island buses as well, so getting into Tinos isn't a problem. It is too far to walk, however. The hotel has great views of the bay in front of the hotel, and across the Aegean. On good days you can see as far as the mountains of Naxos. There are also good views of various ferries sailing between the islands.

The hotel has a beach, which, though very narrow and backed by a dirt road, is perfectly pleasant, with an efficient drinks service from the hotel's taverna. The beach extends (presumably as a public beach) some way to the east of the hotel.

Breakfast is perfectly good, and fairly copious, though it does get a bit repetitive after a few days. The hotel has a taverna, and there are several others next door or within easy walking distance. At least two of them are well worth visiting.

The ruins of the Temple of Poseidon and Amphitrite, a relatively significant site, are right next to the hotel. This is particulalry pleasant if one is planning to visit Delos, as ancient pilgrims may very well have visited both sanctuaries too. There's a good model of the temple complex in the archaeological museum in Tinos town.

One down side is that one cannot drink the water in the hotel bathrooms. the hotel sells bottled water, but its quite expensive. best bet is to buy bottles in pleasant supermarket near the bus station in Tinos town.

We thought that, for the price, the Tinos Beach Hotel was perfectly adequate, and would recommend it.

One warning about the Aegean, though. It can get very windy in later August. On the windy days it isn't much fun sitting on a beach!

This hotel is moderate in all means. A typical 70s hotel, renovated but not in an outstanding way, relativ clean but not excellent, beach is ok but not superb, breakfast is rich but boring etc etc. Walls are thin, beds are not very satisfying. To sum it, an ok hotel if you pay 50-60 E, but not a dream hotel where you can have unforgetable holidays in Greece. I think you can find better in Greece with that money.

We stayed in this hotel for two nights with my husband, our two boys and my mother- in- law in one room which had three different spaces, comfortable enough, but dark. The view was the roof of the hotel's taverna. Unfortunately big rooms were booked and this one was the only one left. Beach is in the front of the hotel. Pool is big enough. Breakfast was reach.Nice place to stay. I believe that in June would have been even better to stay as you can have better service and enjoy the pool and the sea.

Tinos Beach is probably the biggest hotel on the island. It is a typical 70s hotel, moderately mainted, helpful staff, very good breakfast and a below average beach right in front of it, in case one wants to go for a quick swim.
Although it definitely isn't even close to what is shown on the photos on its website (taken under "perfect" angles and hours, still it's a classic choice for Tinos.

We stayed in Tinos beach for 6 nights! It is located in Kionia (3.5km) out of Tinos city. it is a nice hotel near the beach! The rooms are big and clean, with a view to the hotel's pool and the beach!!! We could hear the waves all night!!! Towels and sheets are changed everyday! The breakfast is rich with a variety of things to choose! There is a local bus every hour from 8 to 22:30 to take you to the city of Tinos! It is very convinient! The taxi costs about 6 euro to take you from the hotel to the port of Tinos! On the other, the hotel rooms need to be renovated and the pool should be more clean... We didn't pay much, so for us it was worth the money!!!
