Tasty beers, friendly staff, and floor to ceiling windows looking into the brewery. It isn't open long (Friday evenings only while we were there) but it was definitely the place to be that evening. It's a bit of a walk outside of town but definitely doable.

Even if you don’t like beer you should go to the beer tasting simply to hear the story of the brewery. It really is inspirational to hear what an be accomplished by one mans dedication. Oh and if you like beer, you will definitely not be disappointed!!! Now it just needs to be available in the US!!!!

We had the great chance to visit the northernmost Brewery in the world and it was great. Ida and her Collegue are young, funny and very happy people which reflects back to the Customer and it was a pleasure to meet them but furthermore it would be very interesting to meet Robert (the founder). The Story told by Ida how the Brewery was built up from an Idea to today is funny and already worth it and of course the 5 different Beer kinds are tasty and helping for a good laugh.
you better make a reservation via email to be sure to get a place.

Only reason this is rated 4 stars and not 5 is because of the price. It’s a bit pricey for what you get (5 tasters and the info from the guide) but this is maybe a once in a lifetime experience. If you shave 10-15 euros off you have my 5 stars.

We did the brewery/tasting tour that you should reserve in advance. The bit longer walk from the main part of town is a really nice walk. When we arrived we were seated in front of some tasting glasses and soon poured the first beer. Our guide/guy who works at the brewery, Lloyd, was excellent. The atmosphere was nice and you could tell he was interested in what he was telling. He told great stories about the brewery and working there. And had a lot of interesting facts and info. While the beer was really nice and as you can guess a special experience for any beer fan to drink at the northernmost brewery, our guide actually made this very worthwhile. I have been to several brewery tours/tastings and this was the best I’ve been to.

Are you a beer fan? Then go here! Do you like beer and have 40 euros to burn? Then go here! But if you are more casual then drink their nice beers in the pubs in Longyearbyen. But as a beer aficionado it’s worth a visit for sure. Tour is suitable for all levels of knowledge about beer so don’t worry about that.

We visited the brewery in Svalbard and was not disappointed! It was a brilliant evening. It was very relaxed and the beer was delicious (i’m not a beer drinker and I was incredibly impressed). The tour was given by a very friendly and knowledgable guide who was passionate about the company and beer. Really worth a visit!
