Stayed over to break journey on way up to Northumbria. Very good premier inn with all the facilities we have come to rely on. Well located for access on and off A1 and QUIET location which is a bonus.

Have stayed at a few Premier Inn's and they are consistent in that the room, bathroom, bedding, and towels are clean and they provide everything you need. At Newton Aycliffe the bathrooms are in desperate need of being refurbished but the staff do a great job in keeping them clean and tidy. As always, the staff were friendly, pleasant and very helpful.

Room Tip: Try for a room on the first floor.

Another Premier Inn, another comfortable nights sleep in a clean and tidy room. Absolutely nothing to criticise them for.

The only thing was the price this time but I did leave it late and it is next to a large industrial area so there appeared to be lots of business folk staying (we were staying for the 1D concert in Sunderland and couldn't get a P.I. closer), so I guess it's priced for the appropriate market.

Breakfast at the Brewers Fayre next door was fine, plenty of choice and quick, pleasant service but it did say it was only serving until 9am, a slightly early finish I thought - we went in just after 9 and were served no problem and they were great with my daughter, aged 11.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the fields to the back are quieter.

Very good location just off A1m. It's a premier inn so you know what you're getting when you book. Good for visiting Durham and the attractions in the area. Close enough to Newcastle for shopping and entertainment. Good base for days out in the North Yorkshire moors or dales. Stay there at least 5 times a year.
