“had a great wedding day due to great oranisation and friendly staff”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 June 2011

We had looked around the North East to find our perfect wedding venue and Redworth Hall was the one we both fell in love with cause of its beautiful grounds and building. When we arranged for them to organise our wedding day we couldn't have dreamed it would have gone so perfect! The rooms myself and my family stayed in were beautiful and the night before my wedding i stayed in a lovely big room just perfect to get ready and have my hair, along with four bridesmaids, done that morning. Everything just went so smoothly, i would definitely recommend anyone to have their wedding day at Redworth!

I have just returned from a stay at Redworth Hall & can only say it's the poorest hotel I have stayed in for some years. Our bed room was dated and shabby with peeling paper, worn carpet with debris sticking to i, dusty window sill sand broken window locks. The bathroom was worse with cracked mismatching tiling, a shower that couldn't be used properlu as a shower since the shower head didn't appear to fit the rail that supported it properly and distinctly dodgy plumbing where it took more than 5 mminutes for the toilet to refill sufficiently to flush again.
Whilst the original house shown on the website is unquestionably beautiful it appears most guests are accommodated in a soulless rambling what appears to be a 1970s brick built extension. Contrary to how it appears on it's publicity material the dining room used is a windowless low ceiling affair. The decor in corridors stairwells etc is tired and extensively marked.
On the positive side in addition to the stunning frontage the grounds are lovely & the staff were friendly . I did complain but was told that there were no bedrooms free that we could be moved to.
Barcelo class this as one of their "premier" hotels. If our stay was a reflection of their standards I can only advise travellers to think longnd hard before booking one of their ordinary hotels

Just one night spent at Redworth Hall was the perfect opportunity to recharge batteries, indulge in a good night's sleep and be pampered by the friendly, helpful staff. Food served at the bar was delicious and the service was prompt.

booked a room at this beautiful hotel for a bargain price through laterooms. We had planned to have a drive out but the pool, sauna and steam room along with several games of tennis persuaded us to remain at the hotel. The tennis equipment was a little worn out - if you like a game, take your own until they replace it.
The staff are some of the friendliest I have met in any hotel, nothing was too much trouble and the reception staff seem to have extensive local knowledge and can suggest trips out and easy drives from the hotel.
The meal we enjoyed in the restaurant was beautifully cooked and the wine list extensive with something for all budgets.
We will return, and next time we will bring our little boy with us who would have loved the adventure playground

Dear Caroline2066
Thank you for your review, and I am pleased you both enjoyed your romantic getaway, enjoying all that we have to offer. All the staff are friendly, and hopefully it helps set us apart. I take on board the feedback regarding tennis and will ensure we make the necessary changes.
Hopefully next time you visit you'll be able to bring your son, and he can make the most of the play park outside, and the soft play area inside!
Thanks again. Kind regards, Jonathan

My stay at the hotel was fantastic. The deluxe rooms were gorgeous and more importantly clean. The staff were friendly and nothing seemed too much trouble. The spa package was worth very penny and we will be booking again next year. Highly recommended!!

On arrival to Redworth Hall we found the staff very informative and welcoming, the whole experience from arrival to departure was first class. Staff were so helpfull and made our stay very relaxing. The facilities were also first class, including spa treatments, food, cleanliness. This was a girly spa break, however I am looking forward to going back to Redworth Hall with my family and friends in near future.

Room Tip: The delux rooms have best views.

We arrived at the Hotel at 3.10pm to be greeted by a wedding in full flow. The Bride looked radiant and it was good to watch the photographer setting up pics of the kids running around. Check-in was quite painless even though there was a bit of a queue due to members of the wedding party checking in. Directions to the room a bit vague but found our room after a nice walk!! They had booked us into a SPA room (well worth the upgrade)! Extremely comfortable bed and SPA bath and shower excellent. Spa and gym facilities very clean, however jacuzzi not very warm but relaxing. Sauna & Steam room both excellent and modern machines in the gym. Evening meal was superb and staff extremely helpful and polite 9even though I coaused a problem by claiming another table's starter)!! Sorry Kayleigh!! I apologised but Kayleigh made me feel at ease and she and the rest of the staff tried to take the blame to make me feel better. Excellent customer service. We had a late breakfast and fell into the trap of the queue due to everyone having a lie in. Staff did their best and I certainly would not complain.
Overall, our anniversary was great thnaks to the surroundings, facilities and staff at Redworth Hall, we will be back as soon as we can. Many thanks to you all.
