First class customer service from all staff from reception, breafast, dinner, and leisure centre, Lovely warm nicely decorated and clean room.
Not far off A1 nestled nicely in own grounds. Handy for Durham and Darlington.
Dinner was superb with a chef every bit as good as Gordon Ramsey.
Scrambled eggs at breakfast were divine. Excellent value for money. Our first visit, we will definitely be back.

The hotel is in a beautiful location not far from the A1M.and for the price we paid from Living Social it was excellent value for money. The majority of the staff were pleasant and helpful, especially the housekeeping ladies who helped us find our way through the maze of corridors. We had a spa room, which had all the usual luxuries such as power shower, jacuzzi bath and flat screen TV but there were no instructions for how to operate anything, so it took us a while to work out the heating, lighting, TV, shower controls etc. Our evening meal and breakfast were included so we can't complain but I did feel that the breakfast buffet was not up to the standard of a four star hotel. Also, it was cold in the restaurant which doesn't encourage you to enjoy a leisurely meal. The leisure facilities were 'fine' although the temperature in the pool area could have been a bit higher. Overall we did enjoy our stay at the Redworth but that's mainly because of the deal we had.

Room Tip: The Spa rooms are nice but you need a sat nav to find your way back to the restaurant and reception...

Beautiful building for picture, room was very large and quiet, facilities good. However there were numerous irritants such as light bulbs not working, maintenance of jacuzzi that let it down. Having said that value for money £76 B&B was great

I would recommend this hotel 1000%
Clean, comfortable, friendly, excellent food, great service, superb location with beautiful grounds - can't think of ANYTHING that was not absolutely up to great standard in this hotel.
Also have a great spa with Fitness centre, pool, Jacuzzi, Sauna and Steam Room. Treatments available.

Not up to spec.
Best part was the restaurant. Food was good and staff were friendly and courteous.
No information on the hotel at all either from reception or in the rooms.
Rooms weren't as clean as they could be and maintenance was sadly lacking.
Overall a poorly run and organised hotel where I certainly felt I didn't matter

We stayed here last night, taking advantage of their "Dine, Stay & Sparkle" deal. Check-in was fast, efficient and courteous. Our standard room was very comfortable, clean, big enough but too hot. It seemed impossible to turn off the radiator and, even with 2 windows open, we were too warm during the night. Two of the light bulbs had failed so lighting wasn't as good as it should have been. Our included bottle of sparkling Pinot Grigio was awaiting us in an ice bucket in our room. We could have taken it down to dinner but we didn't. WiFi worked well but it is disappointing to find in a hotel of this size and quality that the network is unsecured, no password being required.

I used the very well-equipped fitness room and the remarkably large pool, which was very pleasantly warm. At 8pm I was the only one using it.

We had to wait an unreasonably long time at the welcome desk at the restaurant entrance, to book our table on arrival at the hotel, then at dinner and again at breakfast. Service was quick enough thereafter, however. The dinner was good but portions were very small, especially the starters and the vegetables. We should have been suspicious when asked if we wanted any side orders. My dessert (fruit salad) was also very small. The dishes were presented stylishly. If I hadn't requested a second bread roll, I suspect I would have felt hungry by bedtime.

Buffet breakfast was excellent, with a wide choice of items. The hot food was very good.

All in all, nothing much to criticize but for those with a normal or large appetite, the dinner portions will appear mean.

Room Tip: Take 2 bread rolls and order extra vegetables with the main course!

Went for afternoon tea. Served cheese scones with jam and cream (no butter), no offer of coffee just tea. Bought in fondant fancy and mini carrot cake, nothing homemade except for the sandwiches - cheap and nasty bread with chewy prawns. Absolute dire! What you get for your money = 1 scone, some pants sandwiches, a fondant fancy and a miniature bite sized carrot cake!
