“Hen party”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 August 2014 via mobile

We stayed here for my nieces hen weekend with her and her school friends.

We had the 2 night spa break.
Wonderful hotel, lovely food and excellent staff who where wonderful and the hotel manager came to see my niece with a bottle of bubbly for her when they realised it was her hen party.
We had a facial and massage in the spa which where so good, the spa staff where great when we where having our treatments but weren't very welcoming when we first booked into the spa, that was the only negative comment and really it wasn't that bad.
The whole experience was really special and such good value . I would certainly return .

Stayed at Redworth hall from Fri-Sun in DBB deal. Rooms were cleaned and tidy and hotel staff very friendly and attentive. There were weddings on both the Friday and Saturday but we were not disturbed. Meals were nice but the service on the Saturday was particularly slow, maybe it was the wedding.Breakfast was splendid if a little cool, maybe the warming plates need attention other than that we would recommend to anyone and we will be returning soon.

My husband chose Redworth Hall for a two night break as a surprise as he knows I love country manor houses! When we arrived after a 200 mile drive, and drove up to the front we were very impressed. It looks very grand. Unfortunately the inside is not so impressive!! After a long trek and two lift journeys we found we were in an annex at the back! It was supposed to be a deluxe room. The only deluxe thing about it was the spa bathroom, the rest of room was so dark you had to have the lights on 24/7!! There was a small window which looked out onto an embankment so no light could come in and no lovely view!! My husband went straight down to see if we could change rooms, but they were fully booked. I would like to think that the rooms in the hall would have a bit of character but the annexe is just like staying in any budget hotel. Despite this we had a lovely time as we went out all day and only used the room to sleep in. The food was ok. Breakfast was a buffet which was very nice but could have been hotter! Staff friendly and polite. Would I stay there again, probably not! It wasn't worth the 200 mile drive!!!

Room Tip: Make sure that you know in advance which type of room you have booked. Ring the hotel - don't j...

The staff at the hotel were very friendly ,however we spent out nights just relaxing in there bar were we were greeted by Lyndsay who worked there she made us very welcome and made a big fuss over us every night we were there she couldn't do more for us . She is a asset to the hotel and we look forward to seeing her again she made our break away very enjoyable she is a very polite friendly well manned person .

We were lucky with the weather as we spent to whole afternoon wandering the surrounding grounds which are beautifully wooded. Staff were friendly and polite. Food was pricey but there is a second restaurant to eat and I would recommend the latter. It is more casual and you can order more traditional food such burgers etc. Room was excellent.

Nice blend of old and new to this country house hotel, with lovely grounds suitable for walking the dog who was allowed everywhere in the hotel other than restaurant. Excellent facilities in the disabled room, the best we've experienced by some way. Knowledgeable, helpful and friendly staff.

Had a lovely overnight stay here with friends for our respective wedding anniversaries. The staff here are really helpful and service was overall v good. The decor is a bit dated but we had rooms in the new bit and they were great, lovely big jacuzzi bath, fab shower with multiple horizontal shower heads and a really comfy bed.

The route from the reception to the rooms 701+ is not for those with a poor sense of direction! Into one lift, up two floors, walk for miles along corridor then in another lift - added to the fun for us!

Bar and restaurant were fine, a bit of queuing if you want to eat/drink at busy times but as said before staff were great so didn't feel too inconvenient. Food nothing special, reasonable value for money given the prices.

We didn't have time to use facilities so can't really comment, overall a great place for a sociable stay worth friends.
