We visited this pub due to our boat breaking down and waiting for the company to attend, so we had booked in for dinner that evening. On arrival we were told the table was being cleaned, we then were shown to our table, and the waitress took our drinks order, we were constantly informed the situation in regards to the time for food throughout due to them being busy, we could not fault the service from them.
Unfortunately there wasn't much choice on the menu for the three of us due to haven eaten out the previous three nights and wanted something that wasn't pie, salad or fish and chips, but that was our choice, but didn't expect a pub to have such a limited menu. The food that we had was very hot and very nice, my son had the prawn salad, wife had the Lasagne and i had a cottage pie (on the special's board, which only had this or another choice). We see that the pub had a larger menu before the pandemic so assume that this is still a pandemic menu or due to being later on in the season.
The location was in a very good location (during the daytime as you can see the river and boats) and had plenty of outside seating. The previous review of dog friendly is correct as we saw numerous dogs about inside and out, but i can honestly say that where we were sitting, we didn't smell them or was disturbed by them at any time throughout the time we were in there, and wouldn't have normally commented on the issue, but felt that something had to be said due to previously reviewed.
Overall service was really good, location was great (especially during the daytime), but would have liked a little more choice on the menu for the amount of visitors that they probably experience, The menu can be seen on their website, so check before booking to see if it suits.
