“Idyllic slice of English history and comfort”

Blo Norton Hall is a truly idyllic place to spend a winter holiday. Elegant, luxurious, and comfortable - with a terrific kitchen and fireplaces. And a wonderful sense of history. An excellent base for delicious country walks, and a true sense of being 'in the country'. Away from it all, but close enough to everything to make a week or two stay very convenient. We were expecting a lot based on what we'd seen on the web, but the Hall greatly exceeded our expectations. We were very sad to leave. And will be back.

“Amazing Place to Stay”
Reviewed 10 July 2013 for a stay in October 2012

We stayed here for an October Halloween weekend.
We had kids of all ages, and around 30 adults across the barns and the hall itself.
The fires were roaring, the kitchen was cooking, and the kids where frightening.
The bedrooms are the most comforatble I have stayed in for a long time.
I had a long bath in on the free standing baths (to work off my hangover)
The gardens provided hours of safe play for the kids.
We had a long walk through the nearby farms (still working off the hangover)
and the morning were spend reading papers in the many rooms.
The split between the grand hall and the next door living room meant kids could watch DVD's in peace whilst we talked the night hours away.
I cannot recommend Blo Norton enough - whether you are a large group, a family reunion, or just for a weekend away.
Blo Norton is my happy place"

“Fantastic facilities for large groups - excellent surroundings”
Reviewed 9 July 2013 for a stay in April 2013

Went with a large group of friends, including a large number of children. The house and gardens provided all the safety and security one might expect whilst offering the children to chance to roam freely in the grounds. Had a wonderful time - even managed a murder mystery night - dining room provides the perfect setting for this!

“fantastic, historic venue”

Set in lovely gardens, with woodland and farm walks, Blo Norton Hall is approached by a tree lined drive, and the first view is just a taster of things to come. The house is rambling and steeped with history, with a fantastic kitchen, very well equipped. The bedroom floors wander in all directions, with lovely old fireplaces and four poster beds. There are many comfortable settees and chairs, and wonderful log fires, with all fuel supplied.
Booking was easy and we found the manager was really helpful, and very tolerant of our many questions!
We had the most amazing week there with our family group - 16 of us - and were so impressed that we returned again and again. The children thought it the best place ever, and so do we.

“Wonderful atmospheric house with beautiful gardens”
Reviewed 8 July 2013 for a stay in April 2013

We went as a group of 5 families. We had a ball! Long walks and bike rides in the day, games and partying by night. A great house for hide and seek or murder mystery games. Would definitely recommend to all.

“Great venue for a family celebration”
Reviewed 8 July 2013 for a stay in January 2013

We booked Virginia Barn as a venue to celebrate my wife's birthday with our daughters and their partners. The place was perfect for our needs with the property well equipped for us, clean and well maintained. With plenty of communal space, a good time was had by all.
Definitely recommended.

“Highlight of our year”
Reviewed 8 July 2013 for a stay in June 2013

My wife, daughter, and friends hire out Blo Norton Hall and the barns 3-4 times a year, and it's the highlight of our year. The setting could not be more beautiful, the house could not be more cozy or well-appointed. We always make sure that someone on the guest-list loves to cook, and the huge, modernised kitchen is put to good use. We come back fat, well-rested, and serene after a weekend's good company in a stately house straight out of a picturebook. The surrounding area is perfect for a ramble, and we love the Norman church, the working windmill, and the secret playground in the woods. We've been going for something like five years now, and every year the place gets lovelier.
