“Great little country pub, good value for money”
Reviewed 27 June 2014

Decided to visit for an evening meal as the pub was only 5 minutes drive from the cottage we were staying in at Langham. We tried to find a sample menu online beforehand but the website and Facebook page did not have any details. However, we decided to give it a go and were not disappointed. Even on a Thursday night, the pub was full and there was a good atmosphere. There were plenty of choices on the menu with main meals priced around £10-15, which made it good value for money. My wife and I tried the steak and ale pie and tandoori chicken, then chocolate brownie for dessert. Great food, nice local beers and friendly service. If we were ever in the area again, would definitely go back.

“Friendly refubished local”
Reviewed 7 June 2014

Reading other reviews this pub has recently been taken over and being refurbished.
Landlady behind the bar very friendly and helpful.Four real ales in good condition.
Good value Pub grub but the Special (Hake) was well overcooked - stick to regular fish and chips, Ham egg chips etc.
Pub busy for 1800hrs on a Friday
Would visit again for the atmosphere and ales.

“All round great eating experience”
Reviewed 1 June 2014

This is the second time we have been to the Chequers recently. This time was for our wedding anniversary.
We visited on a busy evening and still received a personnel greeting, the staff are all very good and a credit to the landlord.
The food was well presented, hot and very tasty served by a very helpful waitress in a warm and cosy pub.

The whole evening was wonderful and the price was good.

We highly recommend this eating venue and will be visiting again very soon

“Pleasant atmosphere and good food”
Reviewed 30 May 2014

We visited this pub with my brother in law and his partner from America who are used to high standards so it was a relief that it was good. The food was tasty and the service was attentive without being over the top. We'll go back again.

“Exellent Food”
Reviewed 30 May 2014

Three of us visit Binham every year (at least once) on holiday and try to support the local businesses. This pub has much improved though we had no problems before it was taken over it must be said. Under the new owners we were made very welcome, chatted to and shown toa table which we had reserved. The place is much busier now and has a good 'buzz' about it.
The food was excellent with more choice than before, but the old favourites are still available. We went twice and fully intend to go again when we return on holiday later in the year.
Give the place a try now its under new management, you won't be disappointed.
