Description: The restaurant You can eat under the ceiling of the massive eighteenth-century oak barn or, if it's warm, amongst the flowers in our garden, a place of serenity and calm that's good for the soul. The Butchery All of the Angus-sired beef, lamb, chicken, geese and turkeys on the butcher's counter have been raised organically at our farm. The rare breed, outdoor reared pork is sourced locally. The Deli You will find many of the best British artisan cheeses, organic salami and a choice of food from our kitchen. The Shop We have a zest for sourcing producers who reflect our own ideals, for whom quality and provenance count. The wine is selected in conjunction with Fields, Morris and Verdin, the wholesale distributors for Berry Bros and Rudd.

Like this place, good atmosphere, good staff, great food, lovely building. Had pulled pork ciabatta which was delicious with some sparkling elderflower presse which was a bit lacking in elderflower taste (not their own, it came in a tin). The pulled pork was delicious and lots of it. All in all a nice relaxing lunch.

We were stopping in Norwich and saw this place in the the glossy magazine.
It was a fair treck to find and what a let down.
Once we found it we walked in to the cafe/restaurant part not greeted by anyone. We went to a table of our choice to be quickly re directed to one in the corner.
We did ask if it would be ok if we could sit outside in the luvly patio area to be told we could but wouldn't recommend it as it was windy. Somewhat bewildered we sat were we were told as it wasn't windy at all.
The add insult to injury a couple came in after us and went outside for there food and drink.
We appreciate it was Sunday lunch and presumably the establishment had taken many bookings but we felt that our visit was an inconvenience to them and wanted us to eat and go as quickly as possible.
A friendly approach to customers speaks volumes.
Also looking around the farm shop and restaurant the pictures for the magazine were taken by a very good photographer as it wasn't know where as nice as the glossy pics that resulted in our long trip to visit Back to the Garden.
We will not be going to this place again.

Saw the sign 'Afternoon Teas served 3-5' and pulled in for one at 4.40.

Decided against the afternoon tea as it was £22. We had to be quick to order our cakes as the staff were clearing everything away and wiping down the tables. Before we had finished our coffee and cake the doors to the shop next door had been firmly closed and the big barn doors shut across the glass doors.

We were out by 5 but felt we were making them do overtime!

I have watched this place grow into a country haven! Just looking at all the delicious home made delights in the deli area is worth the outing, but it offers so much more, fresh fruit and veg, breads, a butchery and assorted fine wines! The restaurant is spacious and basic, food always good and presented nicely! My pleasure comes when the garden area is open for dining! Its beautiful, pretty and peaceful! Somewhat of a sun trap in places and definitely child and dog friendly! Many relaxing Sunday lunches are consumed here! Staff are always smiling and having fun, nothings too much trouble! If you stumble upon this unassuming place, call in, always worth the visit!!

Lunch here is always nice, and the staff offer excellent service. The 'specials' never seem to change, however. Nice atmosphere and generally quiet. Free wifi.
