“Love It!”
Reviewed 24 August 2014

As a person with a love of history and militaria and a local to the area I have visited this place more than a handful of times and have never been bored by what there is on show. The Muckleburgh collection is great for people of all ages, I first visited this as a small child and was enthralled. It has great displays indoors, that are attractive and informative. Outside there are also other items which can be viewed and you can even ride on a truck which takes you around a rugged trail. Also, throughout the year there are things like tank displays and I once attended a militaria sale which again was good. If you're passing by this place I wouldn't give it a miss as its a good day out for a very reasonable price and you might learn something!

“Really interesting collection but v.expensive!”
Reviewed 24 August 2014

This is our 3rd visit in 4 years to Muckleburgh. We have 2 boys aged now 10 and 7 and they really enjoy it. However, it is really expensive for what it is. For a family of 4 we paid £32, and as the collection is the same as our previous visits this will probably be our last for a while, at that price. We've never seen the museum busy, and again this must be due to the entrance fee. It would also be better for children to have some interactive attractions and be able to sit in a vehicle or two! I think a family ticket for £20 would be good value and would ensure continued support! The food in the café is very good, and an area they could make money if they had enough customers. I said that you will need to allow 2 - 3 hours for your visit, but this would be if you read a lot of the information, stop for food, ride in a military vehicle (extra £2.40 per person) etc.

“Nice afternoon ”
Reviewed 22 August 2014 via mobile

Just had a very nice afternoon at the Collection. It's about 3 hours. Not overly expensive.
It's a beautiful coast and you can have a ride on a truck.

“Great place if the weather is not great”
Reviewed 19 August 2014

My grandsons love this place. Very educational for them, with lots of military history displays. If the weather on the beach is not good this is a great place to take the kids for a few hours as most of the displays are under cover.

“A great place to visit”
Reviewed 17 August 2014

I went to this museum whilst on holiday in Norfolk and is probably the best military museum I have been to, and I`ve been to quite a few!. The admission is reasonable and if you have a dog there are even kennels for you to use for a £5 refundable deposit which pays for the padlock. The museum is the largest private military collection in Europe and is still owned by one family. They bought the old army camp on the site, just outside Weybourne in the eighties and have expanded and rebuilt the museum as it is todayThe really nice and unusual thing about this museum is that all the vehicles and other exhibits are maintained in working order, which makes a nice change from the empty and stripped vehicles you often find in museums of this type.
The museum is laid out in various halls, like artillery, transport etc and is easy to find your way round following the large signs. There are extensive model displays, many having been built by the two brothers who run the museum. There is also a display of RAF photographic reconnaissance and survey equipment. There is a large cafeteria serving hot and cold food and drinks with an outside play are, fully enclosed for the kids. You can take a ride round the old army camp in a Bedford six ton truck with fixed seats in the load area. This is "bumpy but fun" and costs £2.50 per person for a ten minute ride. Crash helmets are supplied for this ride. If you are feeling adventurous they also do tank driving experience days, speak to the staff to book and for prices.
This is a very good professional run museum and is not to be missed if in the area. There is also a well stocked gift shop.
