“Great Hotel and Location.”
Reviewed 24 June 2013

My wife and I stayed for just one night on June 21st..
The location was great,in asmuch that we ate on the terrace of the Old Mariner Pub, which is part of the complex, and shared a great view of the sunset on the longest day, with other guests .
The staff were very helpful and accomodated our smallest wish.
A seaside walk is only a stones throw away ,and the sandy beach goes on forever.
A very clean and comfy homely hotel, and we will come again.

We stayed at the Le Strange Arms Hotel for one night only as we helped our daughter's family move out of their house. We were exhausted after a long and busy day and arrived at our room feeling very weary.
The room was warm and cosy, a little quirky with the floor looking as though it was lower at the head end of the bed than at the opposite side.
The decor is tired and rather dated but this is the only thing I could say on the negative side, everything else was superb.
The bed was the most comfortable that we have ever slept in, and we both had a great night's sleep.
There was everything in the room which we needed, and extras which was very much appreciated.
Overall, a very lovely stay, and can recommend staying here anytime.

Best Western property located in Old Hunstanton. It couldn't have been in a better location for us and our 3 Jack Russell's. Stayed in the Dog friendly " Boathouse accommodation which is a few mins walk from reception and even though not attached to the hotel the accommodation was excellent for us as we could take the dogs in and out without trekking through hotel corridors etc. The room was a good size and feels so much bigger than other standard hotel rooms, Bed was good which is a blessing and overall very clean. Shame about the Saniflow system in the bathroom which sounds as if a London Underground station is right next door. The hotel overlooks the coast and has it's own access to the beach which was ideal for anyone staying with their dogs,.
Breakfast was fantastic and you could have anything you wanted from the extensive menu...The pub right next door was very handy and the food is excellent if you prefer good wholesome food at a great price. They always have 3 guest ale's available and a special's board for something different.
Overall a great few days break, shame the weather was more like March than June but this did not spoil our first visit to the BW Le Strange Arms.
I would recommend this property to anyone who wants a weekend away just enjoying the fresh air and having everything at hand without having to use the car....Thanks BW it was well worth it and I'll be back soon

Room Tip: Yes you can take the dog away as well. The Boathouse rooms were excellent

Drove into Hunstanton to have a look around and get something to eat with two teenagers, but couldn't find anywhere we wanted to go into. So drove along and stopped here, it was getting a little late so asked if we could have something in the bar type area rather than the restaurant. Staff just ok, and didn't seem to know how to work the till to order the food, I had clearly asked that there be no dressing on any of the salads and when they were brought to us, yep all covered in dressing! Asked for the meals to be taken back and salads changed. Really didn't want that as by now we were starving! However they did this quickly and without bother and apologised. When we did eat however the food was lovely and nicely presented. We had the risotto , lasagne, ham & beef salad, and fish gougons. All delicious .

Just returned from a four day stay at Le Strange and i struggle to find a fault..Yes have found one..the extractor fan in room 221 was too efficient.

Seriously, the food, accommodation and especially the service by the staff was beyond praise.

good hotel perfect setting,Breakfast brilliant only drawback no air conditioning and window locked and couldn't be opened.Would certainly recommend this hotel.Bar staff excellent.Food in adjacent hotel is very good.Providing you have good weather this Hotel is hard to beat considering it's setting and Western facing aspect is unique to the east coast.
