“Excellent and comfortable”
Reviewed 22 April 2010

We were dubious at first at booking a B&B as some of the ones in Sheringham were on the main road which put of us booking one that was along the main road way as there were a couple of "boys" just driving around most of the evening. This put us off staying at the Bistro B&B and a couple of the others around there a the parking was in the main car park. So you can imagine our delight when we came across Camberley. The room was huge and we had two windows with the smaller window looking over the sea the main window looked over the whole down. The bed was so comfortable and the room had been recently decorated. The bathroom was a little dated but to be honest it was clean and fresh. The owners were very helpful and very cheery but again just let us enjoy our time there - as for the breakfast they couldnt do more for you and it was fantastic!

Owners were very pleasant, breakfast was great, but on the whole the majority of the establishment was tired and old fashioned. No decent mirror in my room had I wanted to use a hairdryer, chilly room (ok it was one of the coldest on record) and I really wish that people wouldn't use fabric conditioner on towels, they don't dry you adequately!!

Worth staying for the breakfast alone, high quality products coked perfectly. Very friendly professional owners, cleanliness standards high. Perfectly situated for 5 mins walk into town or longer walks along coastal paths.plenty of parking. It will be a regular visit.

A beautiful Victorian house, very spacious in all respects and our room was huge, clean and well decorated. The house was quiet considering that it was busy which was great.

Very good choice at breakfast from the cold buffet and a super cooked breakfast as well.

Camberley is situated on the edge of town so it is a 5 minute walk in, but that means there is no trafiic noise. You can also go off for a brisk morning walk straight from the door. A great place to stay while we were touring the North East coast of Norfolk.

One of 17 B&Bs used on trip from John O'Groats to Lands End - several of which were quite outstanding. Rated very good rather than excellent because of these others and because price was above average £30pppn that we paid. But had no adverse comments and would recommend to others.

I'm always a little wary of places that have rave reviews - sometimes it's a little unbelieveable and you can't help but wonder if the business has added it's own comments. However, all I can do after a stay at this wonderful Guesthouse is to add to the very positive comments!!

From the very friendly welcome, attentive but not pushy, to the good size room with individual room heating controls, to the very clean, crisp white cotton bedding and fluffy white towels (yes, fluffy unlike a lot of hotel towels!), through to the superb breakfast next morning, everything was just what we needed.

Breakfast has to have been the best breakfast we've had anywhere, great quality produce perfectly cooked.

We would definitely recommend the Camberley Guest House and will use it again if we're in the area in the future

What can I say. We'd booked a room in this b&b after reading some good reviews. Be warned, it's nothing like that!!!!!!!!!!!! The rooms don't look anything like the photos on the website, we have no idea how they got their 4 stars. We were told repeatedly the current owners only took over 18months ago, which is why it wasn't all to their taste yet, but I can certainly tell you what wasn't to mine: stained old looking carpet in the bedroom, no light fittings in the bathroom, dirty looking carpet in the bathroom, wall paper pealing off, door smashed in on one side, no decoration apart from a photo so faded you could barely see what it once was, view over roof/ car park. This room (no.3) reminded us of student accomodation. For £64 a night, not a good look. Common room had no atmosphere, not cosy at all, old sofas and dirty carpet, focused around a tv and not a fire place as advertised. We couldn't bare to stay the night and so cancelled our stay pretty much immediately. That's how bad it was. Can't comment on the other rooms but no.3 was simply horrendous. Shame because the owner seemed friendly enough.
