Positive first:- the Ketteringham Tearooms are in a beautiful building and the tearoom is nicely decorated, the food was tasty and each table had a lovely rose on it, which was a nice touch.
Sadly though that's as good as it gets. I recently visited with friends, we were celebrating a special birthday and really looking forward to the afternoon. We found the food very expensive for what we got, certainly not value for money. At 2pm there were no more sausage rolls, we were going to purchase extra as the ones we were served in the price of the afternoon tea were very small indeed. At no time did anyone come and ask if we would like a refill of boiling water for the tea and we had to ask twice for jugs of cold water on the table. The owner certainly had a very unfortunate manner. All in all it was not a pleasant afternoon out and we all commented that we wouldn't return and certainly couldn't recommend the Tearooms.
