Justin Harvey became landlord in 2009 since then the pub has won several awards for Real Ale, Great food, Community pub and Best Destination Pub to name a few. Came here with a friend after seeing the gin night advertised.
We were fairly pleased by the range of gins, although was slightly disappointed that Norfolk Gin wasn’t sold here! We discovered a lovely ginger & rhubarb gin, but this ran out, so we couldn’t both have a second one!
Staff were really friendly, especially the young lady (dark shoulder length hair) serving at the upstairs bar. Entertainment was great. Garden was pretty & pleasant to sit in. Will return in the hope of a good stock of rhubarb and ginger gin!

Thank you for your kind review, we do often stock Norfolk Gin, it is very popular, but try our best to introduce new and exciting flavours each month. We will hopefully have your favourites next time you pop in, feel free to email us with any particular requests!

The Green Dragon has as yet never disappointed us, always delivered excellent food. Small pub, but has lovely beer garden and friendly staff. Would recommend to book if planning on eating there.

Having just moved to this area I wasn't particularly knowledgeable about the restaurants in the immediate local vicinity. So it was a spontaneous lets go eat somewhere moment with my wife, father in law and companion to grab something nice for early evening late afternoon.
Then we came across this place and will now return many times. Superb period Inn, steeped in atmosphere and history, fabulous polite and helpful staff immediately as you enter the place. Also very popular as I think we were lucky to get in upstairs for the four of us at such short notice.
The food and service was excellent and extremely reasonably priced. Definitely will come back!

Popped in here for lunch and loved every moment. Sat out in the large beer garden at the rear but first experienced the lovely little bar in the main building. The place dates from the 1300's so is very small and very quaint in fact just what an old English Pub should be. Good choice of real ales, a decent set daily menu with additional specials and really good staff. Nothing was too much bother for them. In fact when I asked for a pint glass filled with ice to cool down my baby granddaughter's bottle one of the waitresses noticed we were having a bit of a problem getting it to fit into the glass so she came over and asked if we would like a jug of cold water as well. Little things add up to a lot. Food wise excellent. Myself and my son had the chicken madras curry off the specials board and we both agreed it tasted great, my daughter in law the tempura halloumi, ditto and the hamburger my wife had was excellent. Considering how busy this place was (Bank Holiday Monday) the service was quick, friendly and added to the experience. Definitely a place to revisit at some point in the future and would highly recommend it
