“First time here”
Reviewed 2 March 2014 via mobile

Friendly staff & atmosphere, feels a bit like a cafe rather than a restaurant. Owner of the establishment, Ali makes himself visible and accessible to diners, made us feel welcome. Food was nice, but small portions and you have to build your meal up with side dishes, otherwise main dish probably wouldn't be enough. Wine stock seems to be only Italian or Moroccan, bit disappointing. We chose Moroccan, very average wine, but not in price. Overall was worth a try. Nothing bad to report but nothing fabulous either.

“Faultless, recommend for wonderful food.”
Reviewed 14 February 2014 via mobile

Really pleased to get the last available table for two this lunch time (14 Feb 2014) for our second visit to the restaurant. We were impressed after a group booking just before Christmas and returned today to sample some other delights from the full menu. Lunch time tapas looks great too. Very friendly service, prompt and helpful, and very happy to answer our questions about the starters which were excellent. Good mixture of locals and visitors, family, couples and senior diners seemed to be enjoying themselves. Both main courses were fantastic, served really quickly and just what we were hoping for. House red was also excellent. We enjoyed three courses for about £50 including one glass of wine and we were in at 12.30, out at 2pm, providing a good warm break from the wind and rain. Everybody else looked very relaxed and pleased with meals so I will certainly be recommending more people to visit. Thanks.

“Delicious and authentic”
Reviewed 3 February 2014

We had a great supper here with some friends and we will certainly be making more visits. The food was delicious and really has a true Moroccan feel to it. I had meatballs known as kofta in Middle Eastern cooking. I have eaten some very ordinary kofta in the past but these were exceptional, full of flavour and very moist with a delicious tomato sauce. We all enjoyed our meals with highlights including tasty Moroccan bread, delicately flavoured hummus which came in three varieties and also the mint tea which we enjoyed at the end of our meal. Give it a try fr something really different and enjoyable. By the end of the evening all our dishes were scraped clean!

“What a delightful change....”
Reviewed 29 January 2014

This was our first visit to this restaurant and it was a real delight. a pleasant change from the Indian/Chinese routine for this type of informal meal.
The service was very attentive and friendly an the food was spicy without being overheated. Genuine Moroccan cuisine and very well presented. You will need "sides" though as the portions, while adequate need that bit of variety. Side very well priced at just £2 each though.
We really enjoyed it and will certainly return soon.
Sadly, we went on a quiet night so a bit lacking in atmosphere - bet it rocks when it's full though.
