Although in the middle of major alterations our two day break was quiet and enjoyable .The staff were extremely helpful and polite and the room comfortable and roomy. Food was well cooked and tasty and menu varied and good value . Good wines and drinks were readily available. No reflection on the hotel but a pity a local tried to give us the hard sell on a local church concert in the middle our soup course!

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room away from building work.

Brome Grange is what it is. Its a very friendly, laid back place with lots of lovely staff. The rooms are lovely, they are undergoing building work at the moment. But that was no problem. We stayed in a newly refurbished room which was lovely and quiet. The bar area is lovely and a great place to watch the many going ons. From the lounge area you can watch everything and its very comfy. Wi-fi is good. Bar prices are reasonable and staff remember you from previous visits which is always nice. A great home from home, we will go back again to see how things are going. Its our third visit.

A great find, the rooms are good for the business user, nice bar with good food and beer. Internet access was good in the bedrooms, allowed me to catch up the emails. Location is good, Ipswich is about 20 miles away. What more could you ask for !

Booked their family room for one night. Very comfortable and clean. Quite a cosy room with bunk beds in an separate block. Great polite service and staff very attentive. Whilst this is not a high star hotel, for the price we could not fault it. Excellent value for dinner, bed and breakfast for the whole family. There is some renovation works going on, so it is a little unsightly outside, but there were no actual building works going on so did not really affect the stay. The belly pork on the menu was a bit chewy, but other meals were nice. Breakfast spread was good with continental and hot breakfast included.

This was a weekend away bought for us by our son as a christmas present back in November. When we arrived in March there was considerable building works going on. Whilst it didn't disturb us I think we should have been informed beforehand. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. We only ate in the restaurant once and although it was nice and we ate it, it was distinctly average and quite expensive in the bar compared to the pub next door.

The room was very well equipped and clean. The bed was comfy but didn't get much sleep due to people next door banging the door! Why do people do that?

We were lucky with the weather as we wouldn't have wanted to walk across the courtyard if it had been raining as the there is no covered walkway due to building work. Apart from that it was a good stay in a nice area and I would be interested to go back when the spa/gym has been built

Stopped in here this afternoon for a sunday roast and loved it!.
The service was great staff were polite and the dining room was very nice not over crowded like so many restaurants seem to be these days.
The service was ultra fast and the food was very tasty & well presented.
Me and my wife opted for the roast beef and lamb and both were cooked perfect, just watch the horseradish sauce as its quite warming!! .
topped off with a lovely desert made for a nice afternoons lunch & at a great value price as well!
Would recommend it if you want a good sunday lunch in nice quiet surroundings .
We will be back soon for another sitting!

28/02 had a great weekend, room very good, food very good, staff very polite and friendly, however
Building taking place. Unable to get to the to the restaurant with out getting muddy shoes, should have been warned before traveling, dogs are welcomed but surly not in eating areas. However a dog was allowed to bark at all patrons when they walked in.

Thank you for your recent recent. Your comments have been taken on board and we apologise that you were not told in advance of the current renovations. Whilst they are completely separate and do not impose on the main hotel we have tried to keep all outside work to a minimum to cause as little disruption as possible. We hope you visit us again soon to see the finished project.
