I was very surprised to see such mixed reviews for Cliff House. We have just purchased a Static Caravan on the site and have worked closely with the management and staff as we learned the ropes. This was a big investment for us (both financial and emotional) and from the outset the Sales team made clear the opportunities but also the obligations and on-going costs. So far so good; but what is really impressive is the way they have handled initial teething problems and issues. In my experience, in leisure, its all too easy to over promise and under deliver at the outset - but this team does the opposite - especially when it counts because they have your money. This is a fantastic sight for the resident or traveller - the location is exceptional and, in my experience, the staff are spot on.

Room Tip: There are some spectacular pitches available and most if not all are surrounded by established trees and hedges.

Thank you Lester for your review. We do around 2500 bookings a year so a very small percentage review us but sometimes this helps us identify our strengths and weaknesses. Each review is discussed with my team and we try to act on all comments. The Regal next door is now sold as well so you have new neighbours from 18th October! Look forward to seeing you soon. Steve

I recently stayed for 2 nights at this campsite and this was my 3rd visit. I enjoy staying here as the it is ideally placed for the sea and also for nice country walks. My problem with the site on this visit was that the 2nd set of toilets and showers was still shut (it was on my last visit too) for refurbishment. Which obviously put the other toilets and shower under tremendous strain, which meant queues for showers and toilets were frequently dirty, paper on the floor and blocked toilets. The other problem was that they were enlarging the children's playground and adding new play equipment, brilliant but it begs to ask why was it being done halfway through the summer holidays ? Lorries turning up at 8am to deliver equipment and workmen starting work. Perhaps they should have done this along with the refurbishment of the toilet/shower block in a quieter season. Overall a very good site but these 2 problems did cause us problems.

Just returned from a 5 night stay. We love the location and the site has many plus points. The only disappointment is the lack of cleanliness. The toilets in the bar may look clean, however the floors were dirty and the same debris was there for the whole of our stay. Behind the toilets etc needed a good clean. The cubical panels are black so I expect they are never cleaned!!. The showers need a major facelift and the walls have black mold on them. It just needs a bit of bleach and some elbow grease on a regular basis!! On one occasion the men's toilets were covered in wet tissue and when my husband mentioned this to reception the girl just looked at him!!!! I don't know if there has been a change in management but some of the staff seem to have a "can't be bothered attitude" . Shame as it used to be one of our favorite sites. I wish they would take a leaf out of other sites and pay more attention to the small things and then the site would be perfect

site ok but noisy (cars and children), pitches are on semi-hardcore (difficult for pegs), and we seemed to be an inconvenience to the staff to be staying there. Extremely aggressive and rude restaurant manager when I asked if we could get food during their opening hours, he seemed to want a fight and certainly did not want us there, so we went elsewhere.

We came for one week and were pitched on the 'family field'. The site is well laid out with all the facilities you could ask for. With it's own steps to the beach it's situation is glorious. It's proximity to so many easily cycle-to-able beaches and sites was a bonus.
We did not use the on-site pub/restaurant but it looked good.
Being really picky, the only thing that needed improvement were the showers, which are showing their age. We will definitely return to Suffolk and Cliff House will be high on our list.
