Three night break in high season - was nice to find a pitch which would do just a few nights - in a hired camper van. We arrived after the office was closed, but the friendly guy still appeared Mr-Benn-like as if by magic and showed us to the pitch. Lovely shady pitch around a small open area for kids to play with other families. We were right next to the shop and bar, but it was as peaceful as you'd like. Had a very continental campsite feel. The only thing missing was a pool, but with the sea literally 2-3 mins walk away it's not a big problem. Onsite bar and restaurant good. Really good play facilities for kids up to teens. Would definitely go again, and for longer.

Camped here as a family of four. Booking was easy, onsite facilities good (had dinner in the restaurant) and the location is first class - literally 1 minute from the beach and you can walk to Minsmere and Dunwich Heath.
Minor criticisms (1) pitch was basically just wood chips and no grass so difficult for pegs to get much purchase and the chips get everywhere and (2) why do other campers having bbqs, playing games etc on the beach do so literally at the bottom of the steps to the beach.......show a little imagination and walk a few yards away please!

Thank you for your great review.
We developed th pitches to make them porous so we get very little problems with flooding and in extreme weather the water disappears very quickly! Good idea for campers with BBQ we would prefer the BBQ's not to be next to the Cliff as it have taken us years to get good growth in the Cliff helping to protect it!
Many thanks

I was happy to find this holiday park on my route while traveling with my bike + tent. It was a bit hard to get hold of someone as I arrived after 4pm (reception closed), but eventuelly I spoke to someone and I could settle myself on an empty spot.

The facilities are excellent, the location is superb (directly connected to the beach by a staircase) and the staff is friendly. There is a bar / restaurant on the park where you can also use free-wifi.

I would stay here again with my tent, although a reduced price for single persons with just a little tent would be appreciated (my only reason for giving it 4 out of 5 for my stay)

Thank you for your review which I enjoyed reading. Bring some friends and then the net cost per head would come down!! We are an extremely popular Park in the summer so since we are a long time quiet due to weather and winter we do need a minimum price per pitch which is comparable with other similar holiday park businesses.

We have visited 3 times now. Fab place. We like the rustic feel to the pitches and don't want people around every minute tidying and mowing. Everything else spot on except the lack of WIFI is a real let down, and the shop is under-stocked.

When you arrive the reception buildings are impressive and very smart but when you get to the pitches the standard falls during our 11 night stay we did not see any member of staff checking them for rubbish or strimming the nettles or weeds around the pitches, just a little care could make this site a good deal better than it is now ,also holding weddings in a busy period that go on until v.late when there is a quiet period after 23.00 is unacceptable perhaps the management would care to leave the luxury of their offices and take a walk round the site, but it seems that their reaction to justified complaints is they are never wrong just the people for complaining .We do not have children but for people that do an unfenced cliff edge with a sheer drop is surely against health and safety, perhaps a change of management may help to get this site that could be superb back on track

Many thanks for you comments. We will strive more for 2017 to keep the park tidy but as you can see from the reviews not many saw the same as you! We have 3 wedding booked next year before the holiday period but after that we have ceased taking bookings for the very reason that they are difficult to police and now Andy and Jo have the bar and restaurant running superbly it won't need the subsidy that the Weddings produced to make sure the bar could pay for itself! Hopefully if you visit again you will see improvements.
