I stayed here as I was attending a function in the town and didn't want to stay in the local hotels which are either shabby or expensive. The Grafton was a welcome change. Very friendly owners. Spotless rooms and most important a very comfortable bed. I was in a large double room with ensuite shower. Tea/coffee, biscuits, bottled water provided. Excellent breakfast and a lovely location right on the seafront. A very cosy guest house. Would definitely stay again.

My wife and I stayed at this seafront guesthouse last weekend. Hosts Geoffrey and Elizabeth made us very welcome and nothing was any bother to them. Their local knowledge was invaluable in reccommending an excellent local eatery which we very much enjoyed.
The guest house itself was very comfortable, immaculate and pristine without any faults and a first rate breakfast served.
Without doubt one of the best guesthouses we have ever stayed in.
We plan to revisit Felixstowe and cannot wait to stay at the Grafton again.

This is a very nice ocean front B & B located right across the street from the promenade. The rooms are clean, comfortable, quiet and the breakfast is delicious. The host/hostess are friendly and very accommodating, they even drove us to the Felixstowe/Harwich foot ferry for our journey to Harwich to board our cruise ship.

Room Tip: Bed is comfortable. Rooms are small but adequate and clean.

We visit Felixstowe usually in the winter, a couple of weeks before Christmas. We stay at The Grafton ALWAYS because it is in a great spot, very very clean, and friendly-ALWAYS. The breakfast is scrumptious and low in fat ALWAYS. Hosts Geoffrey and Elizabeth will do their best to make you feel at home, and will offer their knowledge of the area-ALWAYS. The Grafton is warm and cosy and very well kept. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are decorated to a high standard. The Grafton is situated on the sea front and is in easy walking distance to the town and railway station, from where you can access Ipswich within 20 minutes! The Alex Bistro/Bar/Restaurant is 5 mins. walk away and is ALWAYS welcoming and serves great food! The sea is literaly over the road from The Grafton, and access via the flood barriers open up to a flat promenade, along which you can take a breathtaking, exihlirating, and very pleasant stroll, power walk. jog, or a seat to watch the ships go by. You can ALWAYS see something happening out to sea. The prom is ALWAYS clean and litter free. The people of Felixstowe are ALWAYS friendly and you can access the surrounding areas of East coast quite easily.

We stayed here last weekend for 2 nights. Stayed with a 2 yr old who was made most welcome on arrival, when he asked for cocktail sticks to eat his olives!!!!! Really friendly welcome from the owners made us feel immediately comfortable.

We had the very top room, which was a triple room with sea views and a balcony, sharing a toilet and bathroom on the landing, which was fine as we were the only ones up that far. I think the most you would have to share it with would be one other room though. Place was clean throughout, towels and drinking water included in the room.

Breakfast was as you would expect continental or cooked. As a vegan I had brought my own soya milk which they were happy to store in the fridge for me.They had made our youngest traveler a place with kiddie cups, cutlery, and plates. The waitress in the morning was also really friendly and pleasant. Should you want dinner the "blue naan" a few minutes away is top notch and also child friendly!

I would highly recommend the Grafton to anyone traveling to this part of suffolk, with the warmest of welcomes you won't be disappointed!

Room Tip: Have one with a sea view as these have balconies!
