“Quiet oasis”
Reviewed 10 August 2014

Free entry and a lovely place to find some quiet away from the summer crowds. Interesting photographs, paintings and models with nautical history of the local area. Periodicals and newspapers avaliable to read around the large reading table and comfy chairs.

“Curios”
Reviewed 5 August 2014

Nothing has changed in the reading room since we first visited more than 40 years ago, except that photos are no longer allowed, shame as a visual record of this little corner of Suffolk history would be lovely.

“What sailors get up to”
Reviewed 8 July 2014

This is a small museum which has an important story to tell about the way of life of fishermen in Southwold. The "room" was free to enter but looked a little "tired" perhaps this was part of the presentation but the clutter and lack of signposting was difficult. Children would get bored here easily as there was little to excite them. So perhaps with some lottery money the place could have a makeover to make the exhibition more interesting.
