“The perfect homestay in Southwold!”
Reviewed 23 July 2014 for a stay in April 2014

This is the best holiday house in beautiful southwold.
All amenities you need in this delightful and spacious house.
We stayed 5 nights and had the most amazing time.
The house is charming, decorated with care and the beds are the most conformable ever!
The location is excellent, just a couple of minutes walk from colorful beach huts and lovely pier.
Highly recommend the place and would love to go back.

“Great house, brilliant location”
Reviewed 20 July 2014 for a stay in July 2014

Our family of six with a baby and dog stayed for a week. The house is in good condition, with a well equipped kitchen. Bathroom & shower room excellent. Master bedroom very large with a second twin bedroom also with plenty of room. 3rd bedroom is shut off from sitting area with sliding doors, however the beds were comfortable. Location ideal for high street and beach with some great walks.
Southwold itself is delightful.
The garden is very small but useful for hanging washing out etc.

“England as it should be”

We had a real retreat in this house. As well equipped and comfortable as it is, the extra that we hadn't really understood (as we didn't know Southwold before) was the peacefulness of the location which is in a happy marriage with easy walking access to the coast, the town and the harbour. Plus the sun shone all the time! Great.

“Lovely house in fab location”
Reviewed 24 April 2014 for a stay in April 2014

Recently returned from an Easter break at Quarterdeck. First time at property but will return. Really well equipped house and the photos really do not do it justice - it is much bigger than the photos appear. I like to stay in a house that is clearly used and loved by the owners, as it has more of a personal touch. Quarterdeck is one such house. I have never rented a holiday cottage/home with a better equipped kitchen. We always self cater a couple of times a week and it really makes a change to rent somewhere that actually has sharp knives !! (I had taken to packing my own!). Located a hop and a skip from the common in one direction and Fat Face/the Chip Shop in the other. Perfect :o)

Had a lovely stay, house spacious with everything you could need. We stayed their over Christmas and it was a very warm cosy house. Would go back there again. Great having bed linen and towels supplied. Certainly 5 star.

“Spacious, comfortable and brilliantly positioned”
Reviewed 9 December 2013 for a stay in February 2013

Quarterdeck is just minutes away from walks to river and beach and yet just round corner from Adnams shop ( great for breakfast and other treats) and shops, pubs and restaurants on High Street. Southwold is a very civilised place to explore and Quarterdeck is a very civilised place to take a group of friends or just your partner! The Nelson pub is a local legend but the pier is a brilliant way to blow away the cobwebs and see the famous beach huts.

“Lovely house, great location.”

We stayed in early October and enjoyed some fine autumn days. The house is beautifully furnished and kitchen fully equipped. The large lounge is very comfortable and light with fine double aspect widows; an excellent place to relax in the evening after exploring the area. The bedroom was good with a comfortable bed.
While the house is excellent, the location adds considerably to the attraction of this property. It's a short walk to the beach and to some real character pubs and restaurants serving a range of tasty food. Southwold is in many ways a quintessential old English seaside village with a fine beach, fascinating beach huts, a pier and character buildings. We loved it.
