As others have commented this property is exceptionally well equipped and appointed. The weather was cold during our stay but the cottage has very adequate and controllable heating making it ideal when you aren't 'out' as much as you might be in summer. We arrived by train and walked to and from Battle station with small suitcases, - but be warned the private road to the property is pretty steep for several hundred yards. We appreciated having Netflix and the Wi-Fi is high speed. The owners really do provide a very good service and make it clear what they provide so you don't need to bring shampoo, tea bags, salt, dishwasher tablets etc etc. Highly recommended.
We booked all 6 cottages for a uni reunion (15 adults, 11 kids). Just perfection. Beautiful setting. 5-10 mins walk to Battle high st. Well equipped cottages, they really have thought of everything! Phone call b4 arrival to check our needs were met. So attentive! Only suggestion - games room needs a heater in the winter.
Stayed for a long weekend with my 11 year son and my mum. What a perfect find. There are 6 cottages. We stayed at No. 4. It was very clean and modern. The cottage has been finished to a high spec and had everything we needed with free wifi and complimentary tea coffee sugar milk etc and also toiletries were provided. It is very peaceful yet a 2 minute drive to Battle (its walkable along a narrow country lane). The Games room kept us amused. Will definitely be returning.
Clean, tidy, spacious, very well equipped with plenty of parking
Great touch to have games room to keep kids busy
Nicely furnished holiday home that we wouldnt hesitate recommending or revisiting in the future
We took a last minute chance on booking this for 6 nights for 4 people (2 adults, 2 teenagers). The contact and information provided from the management was fantastic - very helpful and welcoming.
We loved the fact it was so quiet, but so close to Battle town with the essential shops and central location.
Having the accommodation all on one level was helpful with one daughter using crutches/wheelchair following a substantial foot operation. There were lots of walks locally, but that will have to be on a return visit !
Best equipped kitchen I have ever experienced, everything thought of.
The only constructive comment I would make (and not to detract from a lovely stay) is that the lounge seating is very compact for 4 adults and often we had to use a dining chair. Even a bean bag or L shaped sofa would help !
We enjoyed Hastings with the prom, funicular railways, castle, old town and freshest fish by the harbour. Also visited Battle Abbey and Hurstmonceux Science and Observatory Centre. On a wet day we spent an enjoyable afternoon at Craft Magic in Battle making crafty things.
Thank you Terrie, our break was very much needed and enjoyed.
We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was very clean and has everything you could need. We hope to return.
