Owner description: Stand at the centre of where England's future was fought. Imagine and discover the stories unfold, brought to life in the exhibition and in audio as you follow the footsteps of the Norman & Saxon soldiers. Watch the compelling film about the Norman invasion, then plan your own attack on the country's most famous battlefield. See the new wood carved sculpture trail around the battlefield, experience the stunning 360 views from the new rooftop viewing platforms, and take your time to explore the monastic ruins. For kids we now also have a new kids natural play area, and a fun kids trail. Make sure you experience the atmosphere for yourself.

“Great day out!”
Reviewed 7 May 2014

I visited with my 12 year old son because this was the period of history he was studying at school. The audio guide and interpretation boards are really well done and easy to use. The site is large enough that it did not feel over-crowded and my son's imagination was captivated by the audio description and actually seeing the terrain and the places the opposing forces were stationed. I thought it was good value for money compared to many attractions I have been to and would definitely recommend it to others,

“Well worth a visit”
Reviewed 7 May 2014

I am not usually into history but loved this visit. A nice concise video at the beginning and then a choice of a long or short walk with audio which you could listen to as you walked. It was a drizzly day but that did not spoil our enjoyment. Tip - there is a car park close by and if you join The National Heritage that day you get the parking free at the site.

“A magic site!”
Reviewed 6 May 2014

I went to the UK one month ago. I think the Abbey and Battlefield are amazing places. In Battle you go back to the Middle Age for two hours or more. You can visit the ruins of the old benedictine monastery, the college, the entrance with towers. You can not lose this chance! A very important place for the England's History.

You have to take a special train to visit this very important site.

Have a good day!

Greetings from Chile, South America.

“A good family attraction”
Reviewed 2 May 2014

Very good attraction for young and old. We went at Easter and they were having an Easter hunt which the kids loved. The site is spread out so you can walk round at your own pace without it being too crowded and there is plenty of space for the kids to run around.

There is a lovely cafe which does some really nice food, at a reasonable price. There are some interactive activities in the exhibition room and a short film to watch about the battle.
